Linux Password Recovery !!!

Password is use to security purpose.If you forgot password of Administrator (Root) there are different way Recover password.In Windows system use third party software. In the case Red hat Linux not require third party require red hat CD only.The steps are set first boot device equal to CD then insert red hat cd grub loading time press any key,then select grub entry press E for edit then add 1(single user mode)then press b,now system go to single user mode then change password using passwd root command then reboot system.
Any other possible way???

no think that those one you mentioned is ok as regards recover your password..in reality i don't knwo if there are so many ways but i think this is the only possible and normally it works so..
