Do you still use yahoo answers?

Hi alokkumar803 (156), It is funny, even i left that place for good and came over here. My name is alok too! You see this place is much more interactive and informative as well. We get to make good friends here who actually help. When i was there in yahoo answers i was a 40 or 50% best answerer( i don't remember it well coz it's been an year i left that place ) and yeah i used to enjoy that place much too, but after coming here i doubt if i had ever logged in on that site. This is place is just so much fun!

I used to go on there all the time, and sometimes do when I can't find what I'm trying to ask on myLot when it's most likely on yahoo, but I've been on myLot the last two days without really going on many other sites aside from my email and my facebook, so there isn't really much of anything. I really only got into myLot about two days ago, though, so really I have no experience.

Once upon a time, Yahoo answers was my primary backlink source. I was always replying the questions related with my own contents in my blog. I was leaving url links of my contents into answers. It was a good backlink strategy and increased the page rank values of my pages gradually.

Hi I was using Yahoo answers before, but I dunno what happened to them and one day they suddenly disable my account. I had used it to post some links and had reached level-2. But I don't the reason why they banned my account.

I was using this from my childhood and i still do this. Old is gold!

Both mylot and yahoo answers works for me together, infact - by asking at both places you get 2nd opinion which is always good.

Sometimes. If I have a question and I go to mylot and ask a question and I either don't get an answer, or I get one, I'll go to Yahoo Answers and ask the same question. or I go to Yahoo Answers and get no responses, I'll go to mylot. It seems that with Yahoo Answers is more for "how do you do this" type questions and Mylot is for "what do you think about this" type questions. But I do get many good "how do you do this" answers from MyLot.

I wish I could! I was a heavy user of YA for about 2-3months before I got banned. was banned because I copy/pasted one of my answers for different questions. It was considered spam by them, and after several E-mail's with support they wouldn't give me a "30day ban" or any length of time. I promoted my blog through YA very successfully before I got banned. Got several new visitors each day. This was at least a year ago now, but I still get traffic to my blog from YA almost daily. It's a great place to temporary increase blog traffic, plus some residual traffic for many months. Plus most of the traffic is very active. Many "new" people to the online money making world go there. I also promote gaming for money and there is TONS of gamers there.

I do and it's actually wierd because I was using it the other day to find out lyrics to a song. Three or four people had never heard of it but the one that had heard of it was able to tell me who sang it and the actual title name.

well at times i do.. because there lot of times. i dont find here on mylot ... and some people do post useful posts there.. but now, we have mylot which has grown so big nnow.. who needs yAHoo answer now :)

I was using yahoo answers for promoting some of my blogs, most of the people use yahoo answers for getting backlinks.

yes. but i never post any question anymore. i just read it, read the question that someone post, sometimes answer it
