If you are a U.S. Citizen and you and your family make under $50,000 a year, you get get FASFA for college. Also, there are always academic and sports scholarships, scholarships for religion and race, and scholarships for music and the arts. There are so many ways to get money for college.

These days taking the chance of paying for college yourself is extremely hard, I think your best bet is to take financial aid it helps alot. If you are that willing to pay for it yourself then i would suggest a second job or some side activitied that includes earning money.

Why not become a working student. My father was a working student before and of course he didnt choose the major that will require you to pay a lot amount of money. You can always choose that major that's enough for the earnings of a working student.

i assume you have a job and have been supporting yourself. i currently attend college and i do pay for everything myself. i only do freelance work though. you can find a second job, or scrimp (from my experience food is my biggest expense so you might want to cut on that). you can also try looking for scholarships and student grants

Well, if you are from Malaysia, you could go for the various study loans available from the government. Besides that, if you are a highachiever for your public examinations, you might as well apply for the scholarship or grants that could bring you to college. Doing well in college also entitles you a scholarship or sponsorship for degree as well.

Either try getting a part time job for mabyee 15 hours a week or you should try to peer tutor. If you are good at a subject and have some spare time then you could help someone else out which is good for both of you.Althouh college is expensive it is really rewarding and you will get a good paying career that you can enjoy.

I'm a college student and I'm having the same problem. You know, even though I have a grant, I still had to get student loans. There's nothing wrong with it and whatever money you are making on your own will just go towards extras you might want or need. It's pretty hard to make money on your own to pay for college and still be able to concentrate and do extremely well in school. I think getting a loan will take a lot of financial pressure off so you can focus on graduating and doing well.
