What's the best natural cure to headache?

...without taking meds? I was reading a pdf file yesterday from noon till evening, and I must've spent too much time staring at the monitor at home (which is still not an LCD monitor). I got a terribly bad headache after. Some say that it would be good to naturally endure the pain once in a while so as not to become dependent on pills and the like; taking paracetamol too often, as they say, may also result to immunity to its effects. How do you make it go away without taking the tablet? As for me, I find that sleeping on it helps. However, sleeping in the middle of the day takes too much of my time, especially when I want to get things done. What are the other natural ways that work for you?

Recently, I decided to test out magnetic jewellry as a way of natural pain relief I have a condition called trigeminal neuralgia, which is sort of a headache, but one that doesn't respond to aspirin or other headache meds I lay down, put my necklace around my head, like a tiara, and the pain gradually subsided! A few days earlier, when I skeptically bought the piece, my back had been sore from standing at an event. Within half an hour the pain was pretty much gone. I dont' know if it was "placebo" effect or what, but I don't think so. Besides, the necklace is nice. Just don't wear them around the PC!

I bought mine at a local fair. They were very nice quality. I am going to eventually promote them online because I feel they helped me. You can find some nice ones online.

I think, you need to limit your time in front of PC and if your headache persists, it would be better to consult a doctor. Long hours in front of computers could cause headache. And take adequate sleep at night, lack of sleep could also cause headache.

For me, paracetamol would really work for my headache, i do not need painkillers. But if you need no medicines, what works for me is menthol, sniffing on menthol embrocation, like white flower oil... it helps soothes and relieves my headache...

In my part, my best way natural cures for headache is place your hands under cold running water for five minutes including your wrists, this cool the blood, you should begin to feel better, my pain is usually gone, If you do this activities when you feel is okay. Here are some tips when i not taking the meds also: 1. drink some sprite 2. take my temperature 3. eat something that will my stomach 4. put a cool clothe such an handkerchief on my head 5. see you thumb knuckles followers across to the left and the meaty part or the intersection you must massage there. Do this about 30 seconds.

I have heard people say that "meditation" is an excellent way to relax and get rid of headaches. Meditation certainly would relax the body and the mind, and get rid of the stresses. It is excellent for the physical andthe mental health. You might want to try that !

Hi, I too get a headache when I am stressed , spending long hours in front of the comp or not enough sleep, going out in the strong sun for many hours....I have tried acupressure which really works for me, you can try it too. All that you need to do is to place your thumb and the middle finger on your brows on either side of the bridge of your nose and start pressing together , keep moving and pressing down until you get to a spot where it really hurts and those are the nerve ends that need to be calmed.Just press down hard on the spot and leave it when it really hurts, do it a couple of times and the pressure eases and your headache immediately comes down...

I never take any medications if I have a headache what I always do is just drink 1 cup of hot green tea with honey then drink a lot of water then sleep well, after that everything is okay for me.

Dehydration can cause you to get headaches. Make sure you are drinking enough liquid to keep yourself hydrated. Also, it is recommended that if you going to spend hours on the computer, you should take short breaks like 10-15 minutes every hour. Try taking short breaks and let me know if you still get headaches.

I always try to sleep mine off which generally works. One of two things always happens. Either I wake up feeling great, completely refreshed and my headache or migraine is gone. OR I wake up feeling miserable, unchanged yet worse with a throbbing brain inside of my skull. lol

the best way to get rid of head ache is to have a cup of coffee(strong) and to relax yourself for just ten minutes. it would make y0u feel better. if you dont have the habit of having coffee or tea involve yourself in your favorite activity(not to sit again before your pc)this will surely make your pain run off.
