What are your favorite cooking shows? I like Gordon Ramsey's Shows. I like watching anything to do with cakes: Aces of Cakes, Cake Boss, Ultimate Cake off. The food network has a lot of food challenges that are pretty fun to watch. I sometimes watch Iron Chef, Chopped, Bobby Flay's Shows, Diners Drive-in & Dives. I watch them for fun but why do you watch cooking shows?

I love Gordon Ramsey lol. These shows are fun to watch but my only problem is they make me hungry so I end up switching off the tv and going to get some shopping. I actually learn from some of these shows and write down the ingredients occasionally but since I don't know how to cook (truth is I don't like to) I give the list to my mum who then makes the masterpiece for me to gobble down my throat :)

Gordon Ramsey has so many shows: Kitchen Nightmares,Hell's Kitchen, The F Word, Masterchef? and a cook along show. I also get hungry watching these shows and wish I had the food right in front of me.
Happy MyLotting!

Some cooking shows have no personality or move slowly and I find that boring but even I can get bored with cooking shows, especially when they show the same thing all the time.

I've recently become addicted to the Food Network. I love Mexican Made Easy and At Home With The Neelys (I think that's what it's called haha). I'll also watch random shows as well. There's really only two I don't like. One is Paula Dean and the other is another woman, but I don't know what it's called. I love Cupcake Wars as well. I have the privilege of actually living close to a shop that actually won Cupcake Wars. It's awesome.

The Food Network is awesome. I don't really like Paula Dean either, as well as Nigella Lawsen, Rachel Ray. I also watch The Little Chocolatiers. I don't think I've seen Cupcake Wars but I'll keep my eye out for it. Thanks for your reply.

I haven't seen that show in a while but those are the kind of shows I like. In the show Chopped they have people make dishes out of really weird food items. Thanks for posting.

A lot of people like Iron Chef. It's a pretty cool show and sometimes it's funny. I can't remember if I've seen True Confection but I'd probably watch it. I see most of the food network shows a least once.

i really like watching "Iron Chef".. Also i like watching Robert Rainford in his show "License to Grill". All of his dishes that he cooks are really mouthwatering..although i dislike his first season due to lack of energy...which he showed at Season 2...

I do! You see, me and my brother once lived by ourselves for a year, and I had to prepare meals for both of us if I don't want us to live solely on unhealthy takeouts or fast food deliveries. And so, I had to learn cooking viands of various kinds through my mother's notes (prepared before they left for abroad), and yup, through cooking shows! :)
I especially love the local show with the tagline "15-minute kitchen wonders", and they have this multiply site at that time where they post their recipes featured in previous episodes. I practically copied all the easy-to-make ones, tried most of them, used my brother's judgment for the taste-test (since he pretty much enjoy stuffing his mouth, hehe!), and so, I really enjoyed it though it's hard work. It was a really huge accomplishment for me. I'm happy to have experienced that. :)

It's fun to actually make something you see on tv. You could have quite the recipe collection from the stuff you see on food shows. I would watch shows for dessert recipes and anything that had chicken in it. I like stuff that is quick and easy to prepare. Thanks for your response.

I watch the Food Network Challenges. The ones that involve baking of some kind or anything to do with chocolate or sugar.

The Sugar Showpieces are really amazing. They make these things so tall and when they break it looks so devastating to the chef.

I like watching cooking shows because cooking is one of my interests. I have watched Gordon Ramsey's shows before, but I personally think he is not a very kind person. I prefer to watch Jamie Oliver much more. Sometimes the cooking shows can give me inspiration to make some new dishes.
I love China

Sometimes Gordon Ramsey looks like a nice guy, on talk shows, maybe he is pretending to be nice. I sure wouldn't want to cook in his restaurant but he would be a good person to learn from.

I also like to see recipes that I've never heard of and you realize what you've been missing. Thank you for your reply.

I sometimes watch it when its available in tv. It's fun to watch and I salute them for creative foods they do and how good they are in cooking. I hate cooking but it feels good whenever I watched chef cooks and looks like they are enjoying cooking. I've never enjoy cooking in my life.

If the recipe is easy to do then I would cook more often. I like baking stuff sometimes. Some of the stuff they make on tv looks really fun.

Iron Chef has some pretty creative ways to make food. A lot of it looks new & unusual to me. It seems that Bobby Flay wins most of them though. It would be cool to try out some of those recipes.

I used to find them exciting... until I found myself getting extremely hungry in the midst of watching them lol.
I especially like the Paula Deen show and the black couple's show on the Food Network.
I don't think I could ever actually try and cook none of that gourmet food... but it looks good!!!

I would probably have to watch a cooking show many times before trying to keep up with them. I also don't like when they are not clear about the ingredients. I like when they show it in words on the screen.

Ironically, I just finished watching a DVRed episode of Chopped from last night on the Food Network. In response to the question, yes, I do watch cooking shows. In all honesty, the Food Network is my number one network, and will about 90% of the time be tuned in to it. I tend to watch whatever is on. I love the classics on the network such as Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives, Unwrapped, Iron Chef America. However, I also am loving some of their newer shows such as Chopped, Kid In A Candy Store, The Best Thing I've Ever Ate. I've never watched a full episode of Cupcake Wars, but, from what I have seen it, it doesn't seem to bad. I love watching cooking shows, they give me inspiration to experiment with food and cook. The only downside is that I end up being hungry after watching the Food Network!
