Why Are There Different Bowling Shoes for Right/Left Handers?

I'm going bowling sometime this week for the first time, and I was looking at bowling shoes online so that I won't have to rent shoes. But I noticed some shoes said they were for right handed bowlers and others were for left handed bowlers. Why is there a difference in the shoes and what is the difference?
