How do you know the personality of others when you meet them in first place ?

It is very difficult to know the personality of someone in the first meeting, and because it is difficult to erase the first impression, people usually put up an excellent front when they meet anyone for the first time. You will never see a ruffled feather or a shouting spree, but if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time, then you get to see the actual faces of poeple who have behaved differently otherwise.

when i meet a person...and i want to know his/her personality...then i just look into their eyes..and try to read mind by their eyes...because eyes never lie..and maximum time my prediction goes correct with their behaviour .....so just try to read others mind by looking into eyes ....it will work with you also..... happy mylotting

Good question and a difficult one. I often have a strong feeling when I meet someone. I notice things that make me to like or dislike the person almost immediately. But many times it turns out later that I was wrong. So the first impression is not the best one and you have to comunicate with someone at least some time to understand his personality.
