Why do some people get addicted of playing online games like cabal?

Oh so he is now caught in the net too. I used to play this game 'travian' and i have to admit it was quite addicting. I used to play that game almost all day, i mean making the updates every two hour or so. I can't explain why these things become so addicting. I am lucky i left playing such games. It seems your boyfriend is now at the peak of addiction playing this game. Even sometimes i used to forget my surroundings playing travian. It's not a good thing playing such games. Once it's started we just hope it ends soon.!

lol, online games are very fun yes and i consider myself to be very well addicted to a few of them. But i personally would never ignore my friends or significant other for them =/, not sure if that means I am really not addicted or i just value real life more.

i really dont know.. i had a supervisor before, shes a she and she loves playing online games like cabal. i don't like it. i don't play online games.. that's why maybe i cant understand hehehe.. the kind of games that i play before when i was still in school are word games and mystery games. it's fun and it's challenging..

This situation reminds me of someone from the past. I had a boyfriend before who was so addicted to Ragnarok. However, he eventually quit playing the game when he started courting me. Before he became one of my suitors he used to play online games 24 hours a day. There was even one time that there PC stopped working and he ended up renting a PC in an internet cafe just to play the game. Sometimes he's not going home for two days. He was so addicted into it that he forgets to eat, take a bath and even go home. When he started courting me and we started dating he totally forgot the game. We spend a lot of time together watching movies, going out, playing card and board games, talking to each other, and just bonding together. One thing you should do is to talk to your boyfriend and make him realize he is neglecting you by being addicted to that game. Have a heart to heart talk to him. Knock some sense out of him. Get him back to reality before it's too late. Don't let the game ruin your relationship.

well some online games like the one I play mabinogi are made to be addictive but I am not that bad compared to your boyfriend dam thats bad.I feal so sorry for you since what guy in his right mind thinks playing a game is more important than spending time with his girlfriend that just plain stupid.

for me, net addiction is a form of escape from reality... worst part is you lose interest in personal relationships.. but hanging out and talking wid ppl still d best.. theres no substitute for that

I think games in general are very addictive. Playing them relieves stress and promotes strategic thinking. Mostly games are just plain fun. Sleep, however, is important to one's health; so moderation of playing should be observed.

It's just like anything that seems better than actual work. There are some who are addicted to money, partying, television, music, shopping, playing the market, etc. No addiction to anything is healthy. My hubby spent (a few minutes) on Sims City one night. He started right after dinner, he looked up at the clock and suddenly became mortified, it was 3am. The kids and I had gone to bed. He never played it again!

Hi ggravago I commisserate with you regarding your boyfriend who is addict to "cabal"...Actually when everybody has facebook I don't have one but when I asked my daughter to put up one for me...lo and behold I got addicted to playing bejeweled blitz rather than looking at all my friends posts. I would play at least four hours a day, but, of course I still eat and sleep. Try to disable your computer...joke only!!!

I don't know cabal though I believe that a lot have been busy playing games on the internet. I guess, some are crazy doing weired games at facebook, I mean farmville. Most of my friends especially girls have been taking their time play such online game.

For me maybe he find excitement for playing cabal.I really don't know cabal and I didn't play any online games.And for your situation with him your boyfriend have an addiction for cabal.Give him an advice try to talk him about his addiction and the status of your relationship.

now it is difficult for your boyfriend to quit .because he is an addict .i don't understand why they love playing the net game so much. in my view ,i think this is only a game ,if you are boring ,maybe this is a way to get fun for me ,i wonder which things attract them so much ,only for the better equippments ,high level....i cann't imagine... i don't like net game ,because it not only cost money but also waste time ,i would rather to choose the video game at my leisure time.... so ,i can not help you ,hope your boyfriend will get rid of it, good luck

Games are easy to get addicted, most easy one is online games because you have friends in these games so that you can talk, play with, raid boss together so its hard to get out once you have rooted too deep in the community of that game. I my self have been playing a lot online games too but i was bad at social both in-game and out-game, so i got bored easily and quit
