I went to see Triond and all I saw was articles with 10,000 words about random stuff I didn't even knew they exists. And then I went to blogger and I thought, it is much easier there to share out your thoughts since you don't have to do it with 10,000 words about random stuff, but everything that goes through your mind.
But the money issue, are those thousand-word texts worth it, or should I settle down with what I'm capable of?

If you are not writing full-time, I suggest that you post your articles in Triond or some other writing sites. These sites have already established readers/traffic. Thus, earning is much faster, contrary to achieving a website of your own.
However, if you have a website of your own, you will have a sense of gratification and ownership in case it succeeds, but mind you, it really takes so much effort to maintain it.

I am using, and making money with both, so I would say that it depends on your personal taste and which site you prefer yourself.

Hi ilann, if you are targeting to earn money, I really suggest that you try creating your own blog. Because having your own site gives you a lot more options to monetize it. But if you can write a lot, its not bad if you could use your blog plus other earning writing sites. I always love to try and take advantage of every option I have on my blog or other sites. Though, to earn something nice also means you need to do some work. But in the end, anything is achievable if you put your heart into it. =)
