Are Lion and Tiger can be pet?

I,m animal lover and wishing to pet Lion and Tiger, i think its fun to see them running and playing in my backyard.

Having wild cats for pets is a great way to get yourself killed. If that's what you're after, fine. Lions and tigers are never tame, no matter how long they've been kept in a cage or out of the wild. Even if they've been brought up with humans ever since they were little cubs. They're wild animals and they're dangerous. There are plenty of people who've been killed or badly injured by animals they thought were tame. Stick to less dangerous pets if you value your life.

That's the reason why I'm also scared of. But when once I saw a one of the influential man here in my country,he pets different kind of tiger. It's look awesome because their tigers are very sweet to him. That's invite me to pet big cats.
Also thank you for the advise...i'm totally scare.
