Are you a nerd?

I am a nerd and dang proud of it. It used to be that nerds (geeks) were unpopular in school. With the advent of technology and the fast pace it is improving, the nerds will 'take control of the world'

I think a nerd is a person who spends most of his/her time with his/her self to develop one's intellect or academic pursuits.. Most of the nerds are non sociable and they care less on how they look, in other words they tend to become unattractive. Most of us would find it hard to mingle with a nerd because their focus is on their own interest. I don't consider myself a nerd because even if I often do stuffs online, I'm sociable and approachable in person. I even go online to have updates on my friends in facebook. But I do know a few people whom I consider nerds. hehe

Hello asxenon, Nah, i would not consider myself a nerd because I use the computer a lot during the day for work which mechanical Desinger drawing on the computer in 3D design and home for personal use like writing and MYlotting and socializing like Facebook which my daughters got me into etc... I do like to research or look at pretty pictures. I have viewed many videos I am not sure why just never got into those yet. Thanks and have a great day! Sincerely Unique16

I don't think I'm a nerd. However, I am online for a long time in a day.When it come to Internet, I get used to check email,reading news,or having fun. Today,many people use their cellphones to get online everywhere. It is a trend. What I'm worried about is more and more young students are becoming nerds in their school life.Is the network so magical or the real life too boring for them?

I'm absolutely a nerd and I'm completely proud of it. I love my nerdiness and embrace it with open arms. Being normal is overrated, anyway, right?

When I had searched for the meaning of nerd on a dictionary this is what I found - a boring or unpopular person, esp one obsessed with something specified: a computer nerd - Now who would consider or think to be branded as a nerd? Yes, millions of people are obsessed with computer but they cannot be called as nerd maybe because they are not boring and unpopular :)

Haha! This is funny! Nowadays, I really don't think you could still consider people who are often online as nerds. It's because of the explosion of social networking sites like facebook, twitter, etc. People are spending more and more time online because they want to connect and have fun with their friends. Even 'cool' people spend a lot of time in the internet.

I do consider myself a nerd because I play a lot of video games and am online as often although people say that nerds are bad sports I'm not because I happen to play soccer and be good at it.

hahaha nothing like that now a days they are know as genius my friend but you should do lot of other things also ...it will help you physically :)
