Will P-Noy listens if we send him suggestion or APPEAL?

I posted an APPEAL to the President in his official facebook account suggesting to move the weekend holidays on the nearest monday to enjoy the long weekend. I told him that this is very crucial to have enough rest from hectic schedule and that this is very important for ordinary employees to combat weariness in life. I also said that he should not look always on the welfare of businessmen because they have enough things in life. Besides, they won't become POOR anyway with that one-day holiday. I also remind him with his line "YOU ARE MY BOSS" during his inauguration as a way of listening from the comments and appeals from the people.hehehehe. This is not an abuse for that line, I seldom air grievances but this time I would have to express my opinion. I think there's nothing wrong with it, because we're living in a democratic nation.

Hello Jlamela, I also go to facebook and check fan pages of politicians, particularly those who have run during the past elections. there has always been a lot of users there, most specially in the Noynoy fan page. by the way, there used to be a lot of admins there, not that much any more. Unfortunately, he may not be able to see the APPEAL or suggestion. because it will be buried with compliments and congratulations from other users in that wall. believe me, I've also been in that fan page since the election time itself. I've heard that the admin shows the concerns to Noynoy, but after the signing off of the majority of the admins, am not sure if they're going to show it to noynoy now. maybe you can Pm, but am not sure.

Hello! Thanks for your response, that's what I feared too, that it would just fall into deaf ears all the appeal. But I am still hopeful he would take a look some complains of ordinary people. Thanks for sharing!

I'm sure he would. But there's a difference between listening and doing. He may listen but will decide not to do it for his own reasons. The important thing is you aired what you feel. We live in a democratic country and majority wins.

as far as i know there is already an existing law that allows to move holidays except Christmas and other religious holiday to the nearest Monday if i remember it right it was authored by joker arroyo, also to stimulate economy via tourism (local) since when in holidays we tend to expend more.. and if I remember it right again P-noy only wants to include independence day as should be celebrated in its exact date, and not reverse the entire holiday setting of date back to the way it was..

President Barrack Obama of US have and account also but in Twitter. They had employees in the White House whose job is to read, reply, and analyze those posted message to the president, and some of those post really reach Mr. Obama. Well this is with the approval of those said employees. Well President PNoy is not saying about how he updates his Facebook account but I do believe he is not the one updating it. He may have an employee updating it and those APPEALS might reach the President if that employee will find it very interesting for the President. So if you think your APPEAL is very interesting then it might reach the President but no one knows, if he will listen to it.

Yes, that's what I am thinking too right now, the President will only listen to appeals which are very important and significant. But I hope P-Noy will personally read all the messages in his FB account.hehehe

I think he also listens to the plight of common people. So far all his decisions are for pro-people. But probably he is not the one really reading his official facebook account. His schedule is so hectic that he might not have any vacant to check his facebook page.

i think he will. He's made it clear from the start that they are the people's servant... i am sure that it could take time but there would be pretty much a lot of people who would be reading your suggestions to him - the best would probably to bring up your concerns over the radio... especially at ABS-CBN, he's got a lot of people that are close to him in their news team too that might actually hve the chance to share the concerns that might not get to him... it would be a good venue.

i think he won't listen to that appeal... since he's trying to revive the Philippines from the hands of GMA, and one of the things that GMA did was extending weekends and moving holidays to the nearest Monday, which sometimes is so inappropriate and such bothersome, so if he will change, he probably wouldn't do what GMA did.
