How do you send text messages to your mom?

text message - messages sent to a person

I sent her messages like she's a friend but with so much love. Minus the abbreviations like LOL, BTW, FTW - you know those stuffs and the "I love you!". I'm not a sweet daughter. I think that makes her somehow feel younger. And of course, nothing offensive. I'll be grounded for sure. Any "odd" words that you tell your mom? When I tell something funny, I write "wahahaha" or "ohohoho". Just so me. But still, I think she completely understand everything.

I try to text my mom with no abbreviations or shortcuts as possible because one time, I did text her that involves a lot of shortcuts - she replied and the text message said that she didn't understand a thing. LOL There are some moms who are up to date with technology and who can catch up with what's the latest - it's just that my mom isn't like that. lol. But I still love here. There are also times where she gets frustrated whenever she wants to text someone because when it's taking her too long to finish her sentence, her phone suddenly goes back to menu. LOL. In the end, she would end up calling that person. :D

That will be really long if there are no abbreviations. But calling would be expensive. I guess, if your phone ends up going back to the menu while texting, I'll probably just call too.

Haha my parents don't even know how to use texting. :P And they're not really interested either. I think you don't realize how much fun and addicting it is until you use it. lol. :P speaking of lol, my parents don't know what any of those abbreviations mean. i had my mom ask me once wat lol was. :P n tat seems to me like the best known one. =P like if i wrote with someone: -Wassup?? -Nm hbu? -Nm tbh -kk well ttyl Yea. My parents would be lost. haha. But actually to me, it seems kinda weird sumtimes when ppl text with their parents. Seems more like a teen thing. n i think it would end up annoying me if they did text me. :P

Yeah, I think it's teen thing too. But it's better for me. I text when something is important. I do text them too if I'll be home late. I'm not too independent and I live with my parents. So I have to do such things.

It's nice that you can say I love you to them. I think they'll feel odd if I say it. I'm not really an "I love you" kid, can't say it out loud and proud. I do hope however that I can someday.

My mom is actually more of my friend than a parent, so I text her just like I would any of my other friends. With texting in general though, I refuse to use text speak and will spell things out completely, using propper grammar.

Well, i don't text my mom, she doesn't like texting, she will scold me if she catches me when i'm texting my friends.. But i text my sister with those funny Abbreviations, she does the same and we do send text messages often.. We have our abbreviations just a shortcut for the text messages and we understand it .. Everything is fun !!

I am a male ,so indeed I won't send message like I love you or something like that ,but I will always praise her, yeah like saying she is the best mom in the world or you are so beautiful.. but when things come to a special thing like when we are talking about some very important affair,I will just send her the message like to a regular friend .anyway she doesn't care ~~

I don't like to text my mom, sweetie. I prefer to hear her voice. I am spoiled in that sense, you know. TATA.

Here in my country, calling costs too much so I just end up texting. If it's really urgent and really important, I do call, but if not, I'll just text.

I text her the same as I would text anybody else. Although I do cut down on most of the 'text jargon' here and there. Miscommunication is waay easier in texting, I won't want to make it anymore easier. haha

My mom does not own a cell phone so i can't send text messages to her. i can receive them from my teen daughter though. She likes to abbreviate every word. I am not always sure what all of the letters might stand for. I tell her when she texts me that it is all right to write out the complete word. It's so much easier for me.
