Congratulations mom! You have won! No, not those stupid ads that say, "WINNER! You are the 1,000,000th member here, click here to see what your prize is." You have won the award of being ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS!! Okay... Well... Here's why.
Today I'm upstairs, with the door closed (because we're keeping a cat in there, and he's not allowed to go out). And the phone rings. I expect somebody else to get it, since normally it's my sister's friends. But I completely forgot she wasn't at home. So it was just me and my mom at home. I don't pick up the phone, and neither does she, and the answering machine kicks on. Guess who leaves the message? MY MOM, WHO IS IN THE HOUSE WITH ME!!! Here's what she said, "Dearra, could you come downstairs, I need you to do something." Then the message ends. Apparently my mom was calling me to come downstairs, but I didn't hear her. So she called our home phone number and left a message telling me to fill something out.
Oh mom... Of course YOU would do that. LOL
Isn't that just hilarious?

Haha my mom does the same thing to me! Even worse though because my cordless phones have an option on them to "page" the other phone, so if you don't answer it it keeps ringing.. and ringing.. And will just keep ringing for days if you don't answer it. 
And then when I pick up she just asks what I'm doing, she could have walked upstairs to ask me that.

Oh that's so funny! So it'll just keep ringing and ringing 'till somebody answers? Oh man! That must get annoying! So if you were on vacation you could come home and it could be ringing from yesterday? My mom has done that before, but not on the answering machine. My dad is gonna check the answering machine and find that message, lol, wondering what his reaction will be...

Haha no I mean if my mom doesn't cancel the paging.. If she keeps waiting for me to answer it will ring until she hangs up. And trust me sometimes it takes her a long time to take the hint that I'm not going to answer. One time my phone was ringing for over 10 minutes until she finally decided to hang up and walk upstairs to talk.

that is so funny. i think i learned something today. but i must admit, that's a bit expensive calling the phone number just to let you know this and that through the answering machine.
if that's the case, why just set up a door bell in your room so that if you're mom needs something it's just a push of a button.

Too funny! So did you call her back? 
Were you online? Then she could have emailed you - ha ha. My friend's husband actually told us that he joined Facebook so that he could communicate with his wife since she's so hooked on it - ha ha. But I guess that's kinda sad!

Actually my mom used to do this to me also when she had her sell phone. She would yell a few times and if I didn't come right away next thing I knew the phone would be ringing and it would be her telling me to go to her. She does that to my step dad when he is outside and she needs him to come in reach something for her.

Hey Fantasy! We that know your Mom have no doubt that she has
one heck of a sense of humor that's for sure! But, it's nice
to know that you guys have such a great relationship because not
everyone is that lucky, as I'm sure you already know. My Mom
and I fought alot when I was young and unfortunately we still
do, and she's 80 and I'm 58 and you'd think no years had passed!
Enjoy your Mom, Dearra because you are one of the lucky ones
to have such a "kewl and fun" Mom like Dawny! Oh, and me and
my bf call each other on the phone from one room to another
all the time and we live in a small 3 room apartment but
when I call him and he has the tv on he doesn't hear me!

That’s funny but geez I can’t imagine your mum doing that! 
My husband is a mess when he catches a cold and just lies there like he’s dying or something; so what he does he call me incessantly on my cell phone from the bedroom, I even receive text messages stating how badly he is needing a hug...
