If I could remember it was one of my techie friend who told me how to make the life of my laptop battery live longer. I followed his advise and my laptop battery's life is still good up to now. It still last up to 1 to 2 hours before it drains. What I do is to regularly drain the battery until it completely turns of by itself every month then charge it to full again. I don't know if anyone is doing this with their laptop. Any thoughts though?

You might as well just purchase a new battery for it. Eventually, it will not last more than 10-20 minutes unplugged. So just to save time and frustration just buy another battery.

Why would I buy one when I got no problem with my laptop's battery? It work fines and I think it has to do with my monthly maintenance.

My battery seems to be working fine right now, so I dont think I will need to do that, but sometime in the future I might look to do something like that. It is a good thing to have a battery that you can depend on.

My laptop battery last more longer, but every month I do the same thing like you, most of the time I didn't use the battery ,someone told me to take the battery off when I needn't it,but others say it's OK,I don't know who is right. Most of the time I didn't take it away.
