Hummnp.....now we found out that we have bats living in our attic. We kept hearing the noises of walking things up there for a few years now. We thought it was only rats, but dear God, to see bats flying out of our attic, was like watching a horror film. Could not do anything about it for now, we are going to Hong Kong and it will need taking of plywoods to see what damage they had done and to scare them away. Huh,
We tried something already to deter them from coming in again but it didn't work. do any of you know anything on how to make them go away?

Most of the bat species are peaceful. They eat only fruits and vegetables. Only a few species of bats rely on blood for their survival. But if they are rabid you should be careful because bats are known to have infected people.

Thanks, they don't come inside our house. Our roof is high and the walls are made of corrugated metal sheets. Perhaps, that's why they were able to go inside the roof from the ridges of the wall. We will have to get someone to look at it soon, when the rainy days finish, cause the carpenter said they have to peel of the metal sheet and the eaves plywoods so as to turn the bats away. we don't want them hurt, it's just they might be ruining the timbers that are the strength for our roof and end up destroyed by them. We still hope for the best though. No body can give us any help in how to turn them away aside from opening our wall and eaves from the outside so the sunlight can get through. Well, we just have to tolerate them thumping on our ceiling at night, they sound like kids playing run around! Huh, not easy to listen to but I should not stress myself too much. Thanks again.

Hi, ruth98. I have never seen bats any where else besides on the movies. I think that you should get a blow torch and light it up as you are walking near the bats. If there is a window in the attic, try to open it out so that the bats will fly straight out of the window.
