Does time heals up everything????????????????

A girl lost her father due to his lillness and was crying a lot in a hospitakl I heard somebody saying that donot worry time heals up everything in life. I was confused for what he said because i never have thought of that before seriously so I am still puzzled. I have had some very unforgetable incidents that happened and still i do remember those things and m afraid if time would have healed up everytrhing then i would have benn able to forget everything. I think Time doesn't heals up everything but of course it helps to make ourself a bit comfortable so that we can live life but though all the incidents and happening in out life leaves a mark opn our life which gets unturnd time and agian. What is your opinio about this Does really time heals up everything???
