How do you manage to trim your bills? I am looking for anyway I can do this. My sister cut her cable off and is using netflix to watch movies. That saves her over $100 each month. I know my boys would not handle this so well. Not to mention I love my cable channels. I am trying my best with these bills. So what would you do about these cable bills?
Have a blessed day...

What else can you do but cancel it even if it is for a while. Keeping it connected will just cost you. What is more important? TV ( yes I know people like to keep up with their shows ) or the money that could be used for paying off debt, bills etc.
Whatever happens, I really hope it all works out for you!

I am a soccer fan and watching soccer is my favorite past time for the weekend. But ever since the cable tv provider starts charging us incredible prices just to watch the game, I have cancelled it. I will get my soccer fix from online. It is much cheaper.

Hi Linda,
Cutting your cable bill will be difficult if you have favorite channels that you and your boys will miss. A hundred dollars a month is too steep for me though, and I have not any children to support. Maybe you can talk to your cable company and they can tell you if they have other, least expensive, packages with your favorite channels included in them.
If you are determined to keep your cable just as it is, then you may want to look at other ways, around the house, of saving money. One thing that I did, and I know that it works, is to unplug all unused small items that are plugged in to the electrical outlets. Ophrah had a show about how to save money and this was one thing that had saved money for people. I have been doing this for over two years now and I am happy that I have made that small adjustment toward saving on my energy bill. Maybe you can try it, and the money you save on your enery bill will compensate for the $100 a month cable bill.
Good Luck

Personally my wife and I went the netflix route for movies and just watch all our shows on Huluu. There are days where we miss the cable but the cash we save is well worth it.
