After you delele a file from your hard disk and clean recycling bin, still the trace or the magnetic impressin will be presnt in the hard disk and these deleted files can be retrieved using a recovery software. Wipe free sapce cleans this space and clear all images or traces on the hard disk so you can not get back you deleted data. This speads up your computer and also increase your hard disk life.

This sounds great. I tried it already sure took a few minutes to 1hour I guess but speedwise, I haven't noticed any significant improvement, but just as long as it will clean my system I think I like it. ,..

@clouds0327 You should probably 'save' the "Wipe Free Space" for maybe once a month (or once a week, depending on how much stuff you erase).

Not quite. Your temporary files etc. are 'regular files.' I think the 'Free Space' is - @shabagirish explains - where "traces" of the files are kept after they're erased from regular 'folders' (so you can dig them up with recovery software).
In other words, "Clearing Free Space" is kinda like 'washing an empty trash-can.'

I like using CC Cleaner too, but wiping free space takes time, so make sure you have a lot of time to do it. I think that CCleaner is a great software program. It's always worked for me.
