Is it true? Maybe, since charred meat is a carcinogen maybe it really does contribute to some form of cancer in our body. Even if they told me that I still eat charred, grilled, charbroiled meat. My family still eats barbecue even if they are the ones who told me that its a carcinogen. By the way, my mom is a doctor and my dad is a vegetarian. What is your favorite charred meat recipe?

I can remember a long time ago, it might have been around 30 years ago, there was a scare about charred meat being carcinogenous. However, I don't think it was ever confirmed one way or the other and nothing seems to have been said about it (by the scientists, medical professions etc.)since. My favourite charred meat, if this counts, is Indian tandoori chicken.

it is cancerous if you have eaten it everyday for 6+ months.now that will be bad for your health.but if you just eat it like say once a month it would be any harm.nobody has every proven how cancer develops.theres just some probable cause that doctors would tell their patients.but not the precise.

They really are. We've dealt with them in our food technology classes. And yeah, they do contain a carcinogens. But you wouldn't get cancer just for eating them. There are other factors which will trigger the growth of cancer cells. Anyway, it wouldn't really hurt if you eat a lot of barbecue, just not excessive. Excessive intake of anything is always bad for your health.
