I have always had pain during ovulation. I even went to the ER one time when I was much younger because the pain was so intense and they said it was Mittleschmerz. It seems that the older I get the more pain I have during my ovulation time. My back, sides and sides of my abdomen hurt and I get bloated. Does anyone else have difficulty during this time?

oh. miranda kay, ... i wish I COULD give you some relief ... from that pin-pricking pain of ovulation. ... I cannot say that it is common to most women in fertile period, but... a part of that is true. Modern lifestyle somehow has a say in this.....
i would recommend you to have lemon-tea, warm, taken sip by sip, when you are with that pain. and, I would also ask you to rule out cyst formation around the ovaries. Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome is very common in all fertile women.
If you are diagnosed with PCOS, please tell here, or write to me; I could suggest alternative medicines.

It has been really bad the past few months. I think I'm going to make an appointment with my ob/gyn and see if anything is going on. thanks for the tip.

you are welcome friend....
but, even before you go to ob/gyn, you can hunt for physical symptoms of PCOS.. there are extremely useful articles and tips online. Just search for them. ..
goodluck, and may you be always healthy!
