I seriiously think she;s retarded.
She was going on about how the aisans in Iran are blah blah blah. Wasnt really paying attention to what she was saying after she said taht asians lived in Iran...
At frist I thought she meant the minority of the populaion of asians living in Iran...but when I asked her about it she looked at me like I was tehs tupid one.

Wow. I mean, really, wow!
It's still the fricken middle east whether it ahppens to be on the fricken tectonic plate known as Asia. It's still a separate entity. Like Cnaada and USA arnt the same even thought they are both North American continents.
WTF?!

Instead of getting upset try to show your sister where Iran is and that it is part of the Asian Content but the people are not Asians. Schools do not teach geography any more. they teach about people and most students do not know where countries are compared to other countries.
For example what country is directly across from New York City?

Because the Middle East is considered a separate region. Such as mezico is to the americas even though they are north american continent.

Well, the US and Canada are both on the same continent but are different countries. The Middle East is a collection of countries kind of mostly on the Asian continent. You wouldn't really classify the people as being Asian today, but, by definition, the Middle East encompasses southwest Asia and Egypt (which is Africa...I personally know waaaay too many people who don't understand that :/). It's also referred to as Central Asia. So, in a way, you could say that they are "Asian," although they are not so ethnically.

Asia is a vast content and the people who live on that content are Asian. There are many diverse ethnic groups living on the Asian content but they are all Asian because of the content they reside on just as there are many ethnic groups living on the American contents but they are all Americans.

It is on the content of Asia and Iranians are in actuality Asian.

The Middle East is a part of Asia, so Iran is indeed in Asia. So... yeah, your sister is right indeed. But a lot of people get confused about this, so don't feel bad for getting it mixed up!
