What to do in our golden years

When I responded to mrscallands post about respecting the old folks, it got me thinking about my aunt who, in getting old, became a very bitter lady. I guess it is not fair of me to judge her because I hardly talked to her (can you blame me?) and find the cause of her rantings, but I do not want to grow old like her. What do yoy suggest that I keep my humour about me when I am in my seventies and eighties?

The most important thing I think is to remain involved with the younger generation. Listen to them and do things with them. My wife and I have taken our children and grand children on vacations. We support their activities. We have taken my wife's parents on vacation, one time we had 4 generations on the same trip and everyone had a great time.

Thanks for responding! I will keep your answer in mind. Yes I can see why it is so important to be in touch with your children and grand children. The grand children alone are full of humourous antics. Because of your good nature, you are probably influencing people in a full circle. I took the liberty to look at your profile too. Your photos are beautiful.
