Is it true that if you each chicken all the time, pretty soon you will have some parts of your skin that resembles chicken skin? You know, like goose pimples on your neck and arms. I don't believe this but my neighbor believes so strongly about this. She only eats chicken once a week and she never eats the skin. So do you think it's true?

No, that's not true! The one food-related change I know of that *is* true is that if you eat a lot of carrots, your skin will eventually take on kind of a subtle orange color, because of all the beta carotene that you're consuming. (But your skin won't actually become orange; it will just take on an orangish tint).
You'd have to eat a LOT of carrots for that to happen, but it does happen.

hahaha....just imagine you start seeing her with feathers on her body some day. I hope you didnt believe her. eating chicken everyday is not good bcos it creates a heat in the body which gives rise to heat boils.

What? That is not true. It is perhaps part of a superstitious belief. I love eating chicken more especially the skin when it is crispy. I can eat almost everyday, but my skin did not turn out like a chicken skin. Well, I am allergic to chicken, but I love it. There are times that i get itch when I eat much, yet my skin don't look like chicken skin.

I don't think it's true because we eat chicken almost 3 to 4 times a week, so far ... none of us has chicken skin. From what I know about eating chicken is children shouldn't eat too much chicken that is sold in fast food restaurants because they are injected with hormones that can cause early development of kid's chest area.

If this were true, I would probably have feathers right now myself. I work in a chicken restaurant, and I eat chicken almost every day LOL

I think that is insane for a grown up to believe that if you eat chicken all the time your skin will resemble or you will look like a chicken. If you eat too much vegetable do you look like that vegetable?? Certainly not. These are just ways to make kids eat less. Like we tell them dont eat too much chocolate or else your teeth will fall. This is to stop them from falling sick and their teeth wont fall all at once!!

It is just a scary story for kids who loves to eat chicken because they don't eat vegetables for them to be stronger.
And maybe your neighbor still believe that story, but actually his parents try to scary him, hahahaha

Wow, some peoples superstitions are really problematic. I don't think that that is at all possible. Besides white meat is better for people than red meat (unless they have anemia I guess?). I do not believe it to be true at all, I love chicken and I've eaten it a lot and nothing like that has ever happened to me. Although maybe the sun can bake ones skin to be like that, depending on how sensitive a persons skin is to the sun.... but from eating chicken... no way.

These are all scare stories mother tell their kids to stop them from getting the wrong nutrition. Too of anything is too bad for health. chicken is the only meat that is good for health and easy to digest too, but too much chicken can toll on your health and make your sedentary, and without excercise anyone will get a bad skin. That does not mean they will turn into a chicken!!!
