love marrage vs arrange marrage

Arranged marriages happens on some countries like India. It is part of their culture. Here in the Philippines, there is no specific law or rule on arranged marriages though there are families that prefer this kind of marriage for reasons like wealth ties. They want their wealth to be merged with a family similar to their status in life. Arranged marriage is less ratio than love marriage. However, with this generation, people are getting more practical. There are women who gets marry foreigners to improve their family status. As for me, I would prefer love marriage because I want to live a lifetime with someone I love.

Back in the old days marriages were arranged to protect or increase the family's wealth. It's the parents who chooses the best partner for their son or daughter. The Chinese for example only chooses marriage among pure blooded Chinese and are usually arranged by the parents.

Hi kaushalpatel, If i get you right, are you trying to ask why most people used to have arranged marriage in the earlier days? It used to a little different those days, people seemed to be more conservative unlike the people today who are quite open to relationships now. Yes love marriages have many advantages over arranged marriage but that doesn't mean love marriages are any better than arranged because people still get divorced in love marriages as well. Love marriages could even bring more complications during a fight between the spouses. On the other hand arrange marriages bring out the feeling of more respect for each other too. Good day.
