Do you use the same password for logging in to all your net accounts?

I personally think that it's quite troublesome to think of a different password for every website that I visit. Not to mention, it'll get so d*mn confusing! I'd rather use my memorization skills on other more important things. ..Actually, something like this already happened a few years back. Someone must've been accessing my Yahoo 'cause I noticed that my avatar changed, and there had been a few status messages on YM that I didn't post. The general password change was immediately implemented, and there were no more incidents like that ever since. :) So, am I just lazy, or are most of you thinking the same thing? ;)

that is not advisable. i used different passwords for all my accounts. for those sites which i think that could be trusted, i use the same password. for those sites that i cannot trust, i used different passwords. i do also have a system in remembering my passwords. the most important account that nobody could be able to access except you is your email account which may contain verification and registration notices of all your other accounts in the internet. i suggest that you used a unique password for your email and use the same passwords for all other sites which could not be trusted.

Right? One time, I created an account for a website, and tried making a unique password for it. I pretty much forgot about it after a day, and was not able to access that account ever since. I tried many times but to no avail. ^_^

friend, its not that good to keep a certain password to all that of your net accounts. the person or the hacker or the third party who knows about your password may easily cover the password and there is also a possibility to misuse the same. What the best thing to use in passwords if you cant remember them each of it is, Try to make a very strong password using letters numbers symbols all included in one password. then for the different net accounts just change the symbols or the numbers. its that simple. This will also make the hacker or the third party to decrypt the password so difficult. The probability of breaking the same can be given as the hardest one. So try making such passwords. If you are not so lazy as i think then its better to do in this way. Here in the above methods i described you may not need to rememeber a long quote. right? Anyways i think this will help you in making a good password for your net accounts. Happy Mylotting

No I don't use the same login and password for all my net accounts. The reason is that let me assume that i use same login and password for all my accounts and i just register in a site which is easily hackable then they may get into all my accounts and spoil everything. Therefore i use different login at different sires.Yes it is hard to remember those details at the begining,at that time i sore it in a file and get it everytime.Once time goes you will be get used to it.

Its a horrible thing to do that. But most of us would be guilty. I use mostly the same 2 or 3 passwords for pretty much everything But I always browse HttpS so packets cant be sniffed. Its also better to access personal things like that on a wired connection. On a WPA encrypted internet connection. That way nobody can steal your info from outside your own network :D

you are right it is risky to have all the same passwords, what i do is have my own pattern of password so as not the forget which is which at the same time providing more security to my other accounts, I have a core "password" that is the the key word and added with cue words that depends on which website I am.. e.g. passwordface - for facebook or bookpassword (wherein password is a keyword known to me)

Your password better be 15 characters long (letters, numbers and symbols) or else I've got bad news for you. Even so it's still risky, but as long as you don't have any security breaches, things should go well.

I have may passwords and I use different password to different account i have in the internet to login. This really confusing too to me because I always forgot the password everytime i sign in. But i need to this to protect my id. The bad thing is even i had different passwords my husband changed it cause I did not sealed it. Anyway having this trend to myself it gives me a challenge to sharpen my memory.

I don't like to use the same password in all of my accounts. It is safer to use different ones. That way your privacy is more secure.

I have a few different passwords. Not too many to remember, but enough to be able to group sites together on the basis of what they're about -- like one password for most of my writing sites. I also keep all my passwords in a small app. But I wouldn't recommend that for Windows users because Windows is always getting hacked, and if a hacker can get to the file with your passwords, you've had it. It's a good idea to write all your site info in a small notebook. The site name, the URL if you think you might lose your bookmarks, your user name, password, and the email address you use. That can also be a lifesaver if your hard drive crashes.

no not at all, I have like a million different passwords! sometimes i confuse them but for the most part I remember. its easier that way anyway and safer.
