I have surfed for almost a whole day 24 consecutive hours once.Once you are in front of a computer screen and connected to the web you seem to go into a trance and cant pull your head away from it.Alot of the current generation are addicted to the internet and spend way to much time playing games on it and chatting with friends.I will try to cut back on my usage and hopefully spend more time outdoors and meeting friends face to face rather than online.

before when I was really hooked to anime. I was on the computer for like 18hours straight.. watching streams and streams of anime and doing facebook.. all i need was a bag of chips and some iced tea.. but now I realized that I'd rather watch it every other month so that I wouldn't have to wait for the latest episode each week. at least in this way I can watch 8-9 episodes straight.. hehehe..

I can't really tell you what's my longest online hours because I can't really remember. I must also lessen my internet use by reading books, going out often, and meet my old and new friends personally.

We people are gonna become web addicts sooner or later. Yea we shouldn't stare at the screen for too long, even up to weeks. If this goes on, like what my teacher said, we could become social morons.

It was about 18 hours on the internet in 1999. Internet was not at my place and I was using a cyber cafe for this. It ended with a huge investment on my pocket but I was happy to have qualified the interview and passed the tests that gave me my job as Systems Manager in a reputed MNC here in India.
The second that was close to this one was 12 hours in 2008 and this time I was playing an online game. I was so very engrossed in it that I missed out my lunch and even dinner.
These are the two occasions where I have been on the internet at the longest. I hope I dont ever have such an experience again.

I spent maybe 12 hours, after awhile i get tired and can't stay on any longer and have to move around, or atleast get up. Its unhealthy to sit so long on teh computer also, so i try my hardest not to and to keep moving around.

i've tried being online for like 24hours when i was still in college, thesis days in particular.. i was in charge of the documentation that time so aside from going to the library, i need to search and research everything that i have to know online too. it's actually easier that way as for me than flipping books. plus you can check other things for a while like chat or email something..

I would say I have done an 8 hour stretch. But I have kids so I obviously have to take breaks in between and make them food and tend to the house. Once I get engrossed in a subject like philosophy or psychology or doing my genealogy research I could literally spend hours online. I also do much socializing with my friends on sites like facebook and myspace. I watch tv shows online because I don't have cable. They are saying the internet companies are thinking of starting to charge by the hour. It seems we would all cut down our usage then now wouldn't we lol. I think doing this would make for some less lazy people or more broke, one or the other.

Anybody who goes into a trance and spend hours surfing has a real problem. It's called addiction, and it sounds as if that's your problem. It might be a good idea to go back and look at some of the sites you've been to and think about they were really worth your time. There's lots of good stuff to do on the net, but if you're just surfing, you're not really doing anything. I think for a lot of people, it's just something to do to keep from being bored. If they had something they really enjoyed, they wouldn't be so bored.

i have spent countless hours on the internet. i notice sometimes its easier to talk to people online instead of in person and that sucks! i hate it. it's even easier to get information and news from people sometimes from over the internet, it's easier to grasp.
