I never liked scary movies but at the same time I would watch them through my fingers. There are several movies that I watched as a child and would regret it when night time would come. Have you ever seen the following movies?: 1. The Exorcist ( which has to be the scariest movie ever made) 2. The Shining (Red rum)(Jack Nicholson was straight up crazy) 3. Salem's Lot (the title is all that is needed) 4. The Omen (anything dealing with Satan scares me) So, are you a huge fan of scary movies or are you a scaredy cat like me? What was the scariest movie you watched? Have a blessed day!

Yes I am a huge fan of scary movies ( not the actual scary movie :-)). The scariest movie according to me is the 'Aliens' part-1 and almost all part of 'Predator' and the first part of 'Alien Vs Predator'.

Hi raja! Now movies like Predator and Alien didn't scare me and hi Kristin! I saw "What Lies Beneath" in the movies and it frightened me because it was suspensful and eerie at the same time.

hello, i've been watching horror flicks since i was a child. it was a family tradition to rent a scary movie or watch one at the movie theater. i've developed an immunity to them but still watch them. each time i hope to be able to see a masterpiece of horror which will keep me awake endless nights in a row. the scariest movie i have ever seen was called "what lies beneath". it was about a professor who had an affair with his student. when the student threatens to talk about the affair, he kills her and hides her body in her car by sinking it to the bottom of the lake. her angry spirit returns to haunt his wife in an effort to tell her about her murder. the scariest scene in the movie is when the wife looks into a filled bathtub and sees in the water the reflection of the murdered woman. what is scary about this movie is that people in real life kill in order to protect themselves all the time. then they dump the corpses in lakes, etc. just watch the news.

Hi Linda, Other than the old classics on Turner Classic Movie, the scary movies are some of my favorite movies. The ones that you mentioned here, The Shining, Salem' Lot, The Omen, The Exorcist (which is really way out there) are some of my top favorites. However, there was one (Candy Man) I just couldn't wrap my brain around enough to watch for a really long time. I love all the Halloween movies also. I am trying to think of any that I don"t like, cant be done. Love 'em all and can watch them while home alone. No problem. My mother and I used get on the phone while watching the same movie and laugh about who got it and who we thought was gonna be next. Wild! I miss her.

Hi Linda, I learned early in life, that things are not always as they seem. I often as myself, "I wonder how long it took for them to put on all that makeup?" You do know that that what it is? Don't you Linda?.

Linda4ualways. I have watched all of these movies. They are very scary, I will admit! I love scary movies. I love the movie called, Rest Stop. This movie was very eerie. I will never forget how these travelers were attacked one by one. Watching this movie has made me really thought hard about stopping at a Rest Stop.

I dislike scary movies. Comedy movies are my thing. I've seen the Omen and the exorcist. Oh brother, yeah they scared the crap out of me. Yup, that's right. I'm a scaredy cat. Lol. I also saw the shining which wasn't to bad for me. The dumbest thing that I ever did when I was younger was watch Candyman by myself. even with all the lights on in the house I was still jumping and covering my eyes. I'm 24 years old right now an I will never watch that movie by myself again. It ha to be a whole group of people.

Well for me I am a scaredy cat because I get scared easily when I watch scary movies. Even though I am scared I still enjoy watching them I always watch them through my fingers though because I don't want to scream. When I scream I tend to scare other people too I just can't help that you know. I have never watched a scary movie at a movie theater and I don't think that it's a good idea for me to do that because then I will scream and if nobody else screams I am going to feel really embarrased and probably turn red as a tomato.

Well that is the only way that I can watch a scary movie is through my fingers. When I was a young girl, I went to see the movie "The Thing" in the theatre and I went back to my god mothers house and had an Asthma attack and wet the bed. I had to sit there with my god sisters and watch it twice. That was like one of the scariest movies I ever saw.

One day while at work, (this happened like 5 years ago), my cousin called me upstairs to her office because she wanted me to see something. She told me that to look at the computer screen so I looked and looked, all of a sudden, there was a scream and then the character that was possessed popped up on the screen. I was unable to speak for the rest of the day. That is how much the Exorcist impacted me and I saw the movie when I was a young teen and when the joke happened I was 36.

I've always really enjoyed horror films. they're my favourite genre, definitely. I can't think of any that left me feeling properly frightened. I don't find supernatural horror themes that frightnening, as, although I do beleive in and I'm involved with the paranormal, I don't consider it to be a serious threat to me. yes, some phenomena and events are a bit scary, but there's few things out there that can cause you much real physical harm. what I am more likely to find genuinely scary are things about how awful people are. I saw Wolf Creek, and that made me feel bad (rather than feeling scared) for quite a long time. because it was very real. there was nothing supernatural. just one person that enjoyed causing suffering to other people. for no reason whatsoever other than they liked to do it. that's more frightening than any ghost or posession. what a real person could do to another real person. I didn't feel the same about the saw films or the hostel films, as they really had an almost slapstick feel to them. it didn't feel real or gritty, and it just seems like when you get small boys trying to out do each other drawing pictures full of gore and violence. it's sort of playful. here, look how much blood I've drawn.

... I don't get scared at all during scary movies. I need something to jump out at me more often to just make me jump a little, but I don't get physically afraid. The only way I freak out is if they show someone's bone getting broken on the screen, but even then I like it. I actually liked the Omen, but I'm interested in all that kinda stuff so I don't even know. I am a huge fan of scary movies, but most of my friends are too afraid to watch them. D:

I enjoy horror movies, but can't really say they scare me. They may make me jump at unecpected scenes, but not with any lasting results. However, when my kids were younger, they happened to see "The Fury"...which is about demonic possession, and they had nightmares for weeks afterward.

I love scary movies! Stephen King is my favorite! I have seen all four of the movies you mention. I think The Shining is the best of the those four. After that The Exorcist. I also like those crazy Child's Play movies. And have you seen Rosemary's Baby? It's an old one -- from the 1960's-- it involves satan so better cover your eyes on that one!

I have not seen Salem's Lot or The Omen yet. the other movies were great though! I am a fan of scary movies. Just a great and scary adventure to go through. I just get more scared if the movie has something to do with ghosts for I have experienced some things. But still love scary movies. $-MrDollars-$
