I'm On The Helium Homepage!!

Hi all. I just had to come and share something, if I didn't I would burst. I was just checking in on my emails, and I had one from Helium.
"Congratualations, your article 'Anticipated acts at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards' is on Helium's homepage today"
I haven't been writing there for very long, or in general for that matter. A feeling of shock first came, then a huge smile. Now I feel very pleased with myself, I can't be half bad, lol.
I really had to share it with everyone =0)

Congrats! That's awesome. It's a great feeling to have your hard work rewarded. I've considered using Helium before... Is it a good site/easy to use?

Thank you therenthead. I have a couple of threads concerning Helium. Have a read through, there is some good advice from some Helium writers. At first it took a little understanding, but I love it now and struggle to stay away. If I am not writing, I have to go back to read articles of others.
It is quite an easy site to get around. The more you write, the more you earn. There is also a competition page, there are usually a number of them going on. They are also great if you are struggling for a little inspiration, they give you direction.
Then there is the marketplace, you can use this once you earn your first star. Companies give a brief on an article, you write one and submit, they then decide from those that entered which they want to purchase. The offered fee for your work is listed, they can range from a few $ up to a few hundred.
You should consider taking a look =0)

Thanks for the information :) I'll definitely look into it. I really do love writing, so getting paid for it would be an added bonus.

Thank you very much megshare. Talented, hmmm I still have trouble seeing my own work from a 'great article' point of view. When i'm finished writing one, I tend to just hope it does ok in the rating process, lol. That is why I am so happy being on the homepage. xx

Hello, Tiggerific, and well done. It's a great feeling to be on the homepage, and even better when you're a fairly new writer. I've been on there 3 times, but I've missed it twice - most recently earlier this week, when I was in the UK and away from the computer for a few days.
Front page is great, because, as well as earning more for you in page views, it brings you into contact with other writers. Enjoy your moment of glory, and let's hope it's the first of many!

Hello, again. Yes, I managed to miss the rain - probably because I packed an umbrella and a raincoat. Got back to Spain to a thunderstorm on Friday, but we're back to wall-to-wall sunshine now. Keep up the good work.

Congratulations to you for your work being on the homepage. I used to write on Helium but I never made any money there and I finally found Associated Content which is where I do most of my writing now. I know when I put an article on there taht I am making something from it and that I will see the money in a few days.
