Is God a Ruler, a Father, a Mother, a Maker of rules, an Enforcer, a Teacher, a Creator, Someone to save you from your troubles, Someone to lean upon???? Maybe God is just a Story, Illusion, Mind Games to you. Some say God is impersonal. Is there any role for an impersonal God???? What is God's role in your life????

God was and is there alone before Jesus and Buddha were born to be compared to Him.

He is the only one I worship and depend on. Never ever I dare consider myself His son thereby.

I didn't realize just how many roles I left out. Insurance company, huh??? As far as asking too much of God. We can place that under the fact that expert ability requires expert challenge. I see that all over the world. It doesn't bother God. Thanks for all those comments!!

God is my creator, he is my father - he really is now that my biological father has left me and our family. for me God is real - i have felt his presence with me all the time, his hands embracing me in comfort, his love always making me feel loved and cared for - even in the most difficult situations. i know he is always right here... always serving as my protector... and someone i can always depend on.

I myself is a Catholic and people I think expect so much from Catholics. How they treat other people, what is their disposition in their daily lives.
I myself is not at all a saint, in fact I do have ups and downs in life that are sometimes not bearable. I just entrust everything to God for I know in my heart that there is nothing I can do and only God can give a solution to the mystery in life that we all are experiencing. A lot of people may contest that God is not someone that we see and we are not sure of His existence. But for me that it is the essence of religion. People make mistakes and people always fail. If we have to rely on people we will just get disappointed for they will always fail us. This is the important time that we have to turn and believe in God 100% for He is the only one who will always be there for us and accept us no matter how many times we fail.

Its simple, God is everything. Without God then we are not here. We owe our lives to God. He gives us our daily breath and he is the one giving us every thing that we need in our life. People just sometimes forget to recognize that fact and they sometimes think that there's no God and that they only believe in themselves.

When I was growing up, I didn't have much of a father figure in my life.. My dad mostly drank and got drunk to the point of passing out every day, and my step dad left it up to my mom to raise her children, and even his mostly..
Growing up, I could honestly say that God was more like a Father to me than my own father was. When things got tight, and there was no way out, God provided. When I did something wrong, it wasn't my mother who scolded me in the way I needed to be, it was God. When I felt unloved, it was God who showed me love (I once had no idea what love was, because although my mother loved me, she didn't know how to show it). It really helped me to grow up and have a deeper appreciation for life.
Today, even though he wasn't much of a father, I am now in a way taking care of my own father.
So that is God's role to me.

God for me is source of all my strength because through all my triumphs and failures in life He never left me. He touches my life in mysterious ways and I cannot live without Him.
