I know its a very broad question; however, one tends to question if the good of technological advancements out weigh the bad. Of course, when it comes down to health oriented machines that are manufactured to help you keep fit such as ellipticals ,treadmills, heart monitors, and/or basically anything medically oriented that is there for positive reasons are a good thing. There is another side to this. Lets keep in mind why we need those machines, mostly due to the advancement in fast fatty foods and as a past my lotter put it "An advancement in glutinous habits health wise we are losing the battle". The question is- Is technology helping us or hurting us health wise?

I know what you mean electrical can openers, remote controls, video games, television, dishwashers, laundry machines, etc. It's taken the hard work out of any work. I still remember when I used to have to get up to change a channel. Now my kids just flick the remote to change a channel and heaven forbid we lose it that is when we get up!

Oh, get up to change the channel? It was much more than that! Adjust the antenna, maybe put aluminum foil on the antenna, at in the best situation have someone constantly stand by the TV to adjust the antenna so you could see somewhat of a simple TV show. OK, I will admit this is nothing in anyway to be considered a tough life; however, one must admit Even when the remote control for TV's came to existence Gen "XER's" calling to move forward.

Technology is making things easier and/or improving on the things that might not be working as effective as things are. It all a matter of choice, we can make healthier choices and make good use of what technology can give us. For example, in cooking, things like microwave were created to help us cook and heat things faster. You can then choose to cook healthier. :)
