I'm just curious. I give best responses and I usually give a rate. Just wanted to know what happens to that person you rated. If you gave a positive rate, what happens? And what if you give a negative rate? Haha... Let me know guys. Thank you.
Just wanted to add, if I'm rated will I know???

Hello when you rate some body positive, his/her reputation in mylot increases, the number that appears in the star increases, quite naturally he/she feels happy..
Thanks for sharing.
Welcome always.
Cheers.

I think you should imagine it in a bit different way. Imagine the mylotter who get the best response and + rate as yourself and imagine how you will get excited and happy.
So, if I rate you positive for your discussion you will be very happy as you will surely get more reputations. So, the same thing happens with the person you rate too!

Ah, I see now. Thank you. For sure all those whom I rated are happy and me too.

I'm not exactly positive, but I think that the star that we have beside our names is based on the way that other mylotters rate us. However, I'm not exactly sure how it works (and honestly that is fine with me). I do make it a point to rate people that respond to the discussions that I've started because to me it tells me that I care about the discussions that I am starting and I am owning a part of responsibility for what goes on in them.
