Many of us have names and we do not prefer to use them on social networks. We create a new identity for ourselves - giving us a new name and a new look (Avataar) on the sites that we join.
I would like to know how did you select your Username and The Avataar!
For me, I was forced to settle with my user-name - theSids - because Google did not allow me to open an email with the name Sids. As I am bad wehn it comes to numbers, I thought to go with the name theSids. I have been using my own photo for the avataar coz I need my friends to identify me by my face.
what about you?

Hi thesids,
I selected my username supermommyjem based from what I really feel as a work at home mom. Whenever I find some difficult things and encountered hard to solve situations I am always thinking of something that I can shout out loud in my head to overcome it so just like a super heroes did(superman, wonder woman/ darna in Filipino, etc... In most difficult time at home when I am smiling that means that I have already shouted supermommyjem and it makes me feel better (lol). I am also using my real photo for my identity.

'I am always thinking of something that I can shout out loud in my head to overcome it so just like a super heroes did(superman, wonder woman/ darna in Filipino, etc..' Wow thats really wonderful. Yes, it helps many a times when things are not working as we had expected.
Thanks for dropping by and sharing your thoughts.
Happy Mylotting.

Stuart because that's my first name. "Citizen" for a couple of reasons. Partly it's political, since I see myself as a citizen and not a subject. Partly it's an ironic reference to an old TV comedy series, "Citizen Smith". My avatar comes from my interest in space travel - it's the launch of Soyuz TM-12, the crew of which included the first astronaut from my country to get into space (Dr Helen Sharman, May 1991).

I never create a new identity at
any site. All I show is my real
original. Username is my first name
and abbreviation of my second
name. Photos that I show my
photo is genuine. So inspiration
from avatar and username is my
own. I am more comfortable using
my own identity from the need to
think to create a new identity.

Thanks bingskee for dropping by and sharing your views. I appreciate your honesty in showing your face to the world and the name. many people, I do not know why, have a tendency toi hide their real identity on the internet and hence use a different username and Avataar.
Great to find people who, like me, do not bother much about hiding their identities

In my neighborhood, there is a cafe here
that sells butterscotch cookies and I
love it. I'm addicted to it. It's my
favorite. That's where I got my username.
Since the name butterscotch is a little common
and Yahoo don't allow me too to make butterscotch
as my email adress, I just went with butterscotsh.
S instead of C. My avatar is my favorite cat. I've
had a lot of cats in the past but this one is the closest
to me, she's my favorite of all, my little angel.

My username is originally part of my name. My username is my nickname as well. Actually, I want to choose another username but it was already used by another member.
My avatar is called Barong. This is kind of animal in Balinese Myth. Barong is symbol of goodness. I want to be good member here, that's why I use Barong as my avatar. Moreover, I want to introduce Bali to the world.

My username is inspired from my own name. And my name which translated from Chinese means "Happiness, Success, Rice".
My avatar regularly changes according to the events around me and my life. At present it showcases Lyo and Merly, mascots of Singapore 2010.
