how hub works on internet/

how hub works when data comes on hub and the same IP address is alloted to the two computers connected to two computers and both are working?

I think having same IP address on network connected on a hub will give you an IP conflict. You can communicate but problem is when sending some data because it will confuse the network where to send the data because it has the same IP address.

exactly but i wanna know what will happen @tha time...ip conflict msg will be there but where packet will go....if it is not collapsed

Even if you are connected two computerd paralally using a hub, the computers will take two different IP address. You can't use same IP for two different computers. The data is trasmitted as electronic signals so there will be no effect on that either you send from one computer or multiple, It only counts from which IP you data is coming.

sry i think u didnot understand my question...this can happen wen we connect two pc to hub with same ip's but my question is that what will happen @ that time?
