Nowadays in my country, lots of real estate developers are building high rise condominiums. Mostly, they are located in cities. They said living in a condo is more convenient because you are near to establishments - shopping malls, hospitals, schools etc. and even to train systems. It's like they are just a few blocks away from your place.
With house and lot? Its good also for you can have much space than having a condo. YOu can have a garden or back yard. But then, you have amenities in a condo.
How about you mylotters? Condominium or HOuse and lot?

I was born and lived in house since half an year now :) And i loved our house, not because of the space there, there were a lot of it, but because of the spirit :) We have great garden with pets and green stuff in the land, with threes. Now i live in apartment with my boyfriend, and i miss the garden, really much. We have only one balcony here and i go there only to put my washed clothes. :) Nothing more. A lot of mosquitos in the center of the city, all night they are here ... a lot of dirty air, smells awful. I miss our sweet old house. My grand mom and dad have builded it years ago. This is something with history, every room has it's own story ... and it's done with their hands. Here ... just bedroom, living room, little kitchen and nothing with memories. It was new when we rented it. First people who live here, but it's hard to feel it mine ... My place is in the house of my grand mom and mom :) Where my family live since long time now :)

Same here..I miss my parents house. I am no longer living with them - parents, a brother and sisters because I am with my boyfriend now in an apartment. We are just renting it.YOu are right, in an apartment it just has rooms - just plain. In our family's house,. every room has its memories. I did have pets and played with them in the backyard. My mom's garden is beautiful. Because of that I wanna visit them when I have time.

Actually, I think I would prefer living in a condo, because there is no yard work to worry about, and if something needs repairing, there is often a repair man on site to take care of it. However, I have three dogs, a utility trailer for hauling things, a boat, and three vehicles, and A LOT of tools, so it would be really hard for me to have a place to park all these things if I lived in a condo. Therefore, I have 1/2 an acre of land with a house on it, so I can have somewhere to keep all these things that I have...

I currently live in a condo, although once in a while, I go home to my parent's house, cause it is really still different when you live in a house, it's bigger, there is a garden, there are more space to roam around and to put things. Although, living in a condo really has it's perks. I'm close to where I work, to everything actually, and we have a pool which I dreamt of having when I was a kid...
If eventually I would buy my own unit ( the one where I live now, I own with my siblings ), I would buy a condo first, but if I decide to have a family, then I would definitely find a house.

Hi,
I am not that particular about where to stay.
As long as the place is convenience and the surrounding housing
estate is not flooded area,It will be fine for me.
I used to stay in an apartment for the past 9 years.
Now, I am staying at semi-detached house having a backyards.
The place is pretty convenience, within walking distance
to shopping malls.
Of course, staying at condominium is good, have more facilities, and with
security guards.even have swimming pool, basket court and tenni court.
SOme condominium even have Gym service.
At my town here, there is no condominium yet, only have apartment, with no
facilities yet apart from LIFT service and every month has to pay for
maintenance fee Rm150.

I would rather live in a house. This is a place to live to call my own. Living in a condominium would not be the same. You would be sharing your home with som many others. Choices are yours to make in a house. They are not always so with a condminium. Some are happy to be surrounded by so many others. I enjoy my freedom so I prefer my own house.

I have no interst to live in a condo i want a regular house that has a yard and a garden at the back of the house lol.. I want to have a vegetable garden and a flower garden. I do not like condo coz oh my gush i dont like that someone is living under and above me. And there is nothignthat you can see if you live in a condo but walls and walls and your neighbors not like a regular house if you wan to have a prvcy you can build a fence in your yard..

I prefer a house because you have your own garden/backyard and I, personally, like to have some open air and a place to plant some plants - it may be flowers or foliage or even some home-grown vegetables (especially salad vegetables which are much at their best fresh picked). I would even accept a tiny patio or a large balcony but I need a 'green haven' that I can call my own and 'furnish' as I like with seating, perhaps, and a place to contemplate.
Blocks of flats, condos, or apartments are OK if you have to live in the centre of a town or if you are not home much (or if you can afford nothing else) but noisy neighbours above or below are a problem and you always live in fear of disturbing someone else with even the tiniest movement or whisper!
Give me a house, any day!

There is no better place for me than a house in the country than living in a condominium in the city with a limited space to breath. I love to till my backyard for some plants and vegetables every time I got the time, relax and enjoy fresh air with my family and my circle of friends in the neighborhood. I can't imagine having life like this living in a condominium.

Living in a condominium is not a nice thing for me. I still want to have my own house and lot especially a nice backyard that I can plant every now and then. Those
residential buildings may sound nice but I don' think it could rival the happiness and satisfaction we derived living in our own house and lot.
It also happen in our country were lot's of condominium hoses were being built. I don't think many people can afford it because it's a bit expensive nowadays. I think developers can save lots of money and at the same time earn a fortune for developing this kind of homes.

i think it'll be more practical to live in a condo
but that only applies for single people
once you hav kids it better be a house and lot or else you'll drive yourself crazy in a condo with kids
so that's how it'll be for me for now

A house, if I ever get the chance...lol And, hopefully, it'll be mine not rented. That way I could do what I want to do with it and keep it maintained how I would like. I'm living in an apartment right now and I'm starting to yearn for a house. A condo would be nice, but that would be living in a city. Too much traffic and too many distractions.

Hi! :) Living in a condominium would really be very convenient, luxurious and prestigious with all the amenities that they offer, but I would still prefer to live in a house and lot. I'd rather live in a community nestled within a quiet neighborhood, with plenty of space for fun and nurturing, in a community that gathers the best for the family to live, laugh and play. In a house and lot, I could have my own garden and playground for my kids where they could have a breath of fresh air and enjoy nature. A house could be more spacious with bigger bedrooms, living rooms and most importantly a spacious kitchen. A home where my family could live comfortably. Thanks and have a nice day! :)

Where I live, a condominium would make me feel as if I don't own my home. Pros and Cons...like all things. I like owning my own home, I have more privacy with my six foot privacy fence, no restrictions (other than county restrictions), than the association restrictions for condominiums. I don't have neighbors where I hear their music at all hours of the night. I can play my music as loud as I want (at certain times) without disrupting my neighbors. If the neighbor beside me has a leaking tub or toilet...it is not like living under them and the water coming through my ceiling. I don't have to pay association fees. But, I don't have ALL the amenities that a condo would have. I have to mow my own lawn, plant my own flowers, decorated outside, at least I can do it the way I want and not according to the way the condo associations rules. I love working outside in my yard and flower gardens while wearing my Ipod and jamming down, usually singing to myself in an off key note. (Also, being told...don't quit your daytime job)I don't think condos are anymore convenient to shopping, hospitals, or schools than my house and lot are where I live. I do have to pay for homeowners insurance and land taxes, which I would think are just the same or perhaps less than for condos. I don't have any association fees.
So...I prefer to live in my house, decorated inside and outside the way I want it to look.

I have lived in a house, an apartment and a condo and I by far prefer a house. Not only do I like the aspect of having my own yard there just seems to be more privacy in a house. It isn't like I am a partier but you have to be very considerate about who lives on either side of you or underneath or above you in apartments and condos.

For future resale market value many buyers preferred for condominium and that's the great reason why majority go for it. For those buyers want to enjoy more privacy life, they'll for sure intend to get a house lot completely with ample space for compound area as in future they can build up mini-garden.
My personal wish is getting one house lot nearby the foothill and there is beautiful flowing river. I do like fishing very much and enjoy mountain biking especially for downhill riding.
