everyone's had cherished memories with their cars
i had a lot of good and bad ones and i intend to have great ones with my blue beetle
i can remember back in high school i was the first to have my own car within my high school friends
and surprise, surprise it was a beetle too
it logged a couple hundred kilometers with me in the time that i had it
it's where i learned to smoke, drink beer, have groupie s3x, strengthened friendships and basically form my band AcidRadio
i wonder what memories you guys have with your car

my first car has experiences in it as well...snowboarding trips and s3xy time, and smoking out...it was the best feeling to be able to drive yourself around, and you feel a sense of freedom and power...great stuff oh and i had a gas cup in the dash for people to help out ;)

reminds me of how i earned gas money in high school
everyone who wanted a ride would have to donate a couple of coins
and since there were 12 of us and we were kinda smaller back then i could fit in almost 8 guys at a time and earn more than enough gas money daily hahaha
fun times

I was in the 57 Freeway going South San Dimas, and my car was hit by oil from an oil tanker trunk, and I could not stop my breaks. I kept honking my horn, and kept thinking that I was going to die, and then a few moments later, I was at home with the oil on my car, but I was alive and the car had no scars on it. I survived and accident that could have killed me.

hi chipesterkhan you and your beetle, good lu ck bet it looks really great too. we had when we were first married an international Harvester pickup and I doubt theyeven make them anymore. That pickup was built in such a way if anything went wrong with the engine, it tooks hours to get to it as it was sort of buried in there. We drove that thing for years and two children. We took trips all over Arizona and most of southern California in the thing til it gave up its ghost.

The VW beetle was admired by many as a "cult" car in my country years ago. My first car was the other tiny one - the polish mini Fiat. It was not reliable, but my husband learned to repair everything in it. One summer we were on a camping site and he had to take the motor to pieces on a lawn. I was tackling with the windsurfing and they accepted me for free at the surf school. Somebody said: "Give this wooman a surf. Maybe she won't get out of here, let her have sone fun." These were the happy years of my life.
