Coffee is rich in antioxidants more than that of tea, it has caffeine, usually with sugar added. Where at other energy drinks with so much concentrated stuff you don't even know what is for. Would you agree that it is the best energy drink?

Hi, Gorillafootprints925. I think that coffee is okay for many late nighters. But I personally drink a cranberry energy drink. This drink gives me pure energy. I am able to stay awake and be alert for many hours when I have to do something at home. I know that my husband told me that coffee has a lot of energy if it has caffeine in it. I don't drink coffee that has caffeine in it. That is why I get very sleepy when I don't have any caffeine in my coffee at all.

Actually, caffeine is not energy.

Coffee gives energy when it has caffeine in it.

In Australia where doctors have to work serious long hours, they have been recommended to have about 6 cups of coffee a day, don't think that is all that good for you.I would rather you to sleep more, then ruining your body with energy drinks.Energy drinks just makes your body more exhausting day by day when you use it. Give your body a rest, and stop drinking energy drinks, and do the work on your own strength. Stop using energy drinks, your just going to kill yourself/your body by drinking to much, so my full suggestion is to give your body a rest for a few days.

Well, I think you are off topic there. We are talking about coffee as an energy drinks not the longterm effect on people who abuse them. Everyone knows drinking too much is bad. And I don't really drink coffee or energy drinks at all. I am only suggesting coffee as the best energy drink out there. Please read the discussion first before responding.

well, yeah it is really a good energy drink... but i think it does not work much for me. hehe coffee is good, alright it has antioxidant but got a lot of caffeine too... but, best energy drink would be gatorade, i guess. not really coffee.

Gatorade is more for hydration and some energy replacement. It has electrolytes and carbohydrates but coffee has sugar for energy and caffeine for stimulation of muscles and brain increasing your reaction time.

I had been a coffee drinker before, like strong coffee so much. Now I have switched to the weaker coffee, the decaffinated coffee, because strong coffee aggravates my blood pressure. Not good for health !

Caffeine is a stimulant and is not recommended for those with high blood pressure and I believe people with high blood pressure don't really need energy drinks anyway.

Coffee's tang and bitterness offers a bit of a more gradual awakening of the palate in the early AM, while still offering the same immediate boost of energy.Coffee also is a lasting testament to the value of tradition-it's hard to beat an energy drink that's outlasted the term "energy drink." Anything that's still popular with the masses 1200 years after its birth has got to have something going for it. According to coffeefacts.com, coffee has been around since the 9th century! But the number one reason coffee is theultimate energy drink? A typical cup of coffee has between 65 and 100 milligrams of caffeine in it-the same amount as a Red Bull-which means energy, energy, ENERGY! Have a nice day to you :)

Yeah and it is usually cheaper than red bull. And also it can be customized to your needs.

I don't think so. Tea is a kind of healthy drink. If u wanna get energy from coffee, I think it is not a good choice. I don't like coffee and tea. When i feel less energy, i just want to do some exercise.

Well exercise is not an energy drink. You know better than that. Coffee has greater amounts of antioxidants than tea and has lots of health benefits: it decreases the incidence of Parkinson's disease, colon cancer, liver cirrhosis, Type 2 Diabetes, control asthma, and probably more you don't know about.

yes, i probably think it is the best energy drink with all the health benefits that have been reported on it. it has benefits for the liver and even the brain. too much i've heard can lead to weakened bones but i'm not sure about this

I think that coffee is very good for keeping people awake,it is all the cafine that it contains. If you are anything like me then you will also take sugar with your coffee like two sugars in my case.I have noticed that if i do not drink coffee then i am also grumpy and have a headache aswell.I would say it is the best energy drink.

It depends on the drinker if he or she wants to stay more energizer in his or her work. I think there is a lot of energy drink in the market beside coffee. It depends on the situation where you can apply it.

There are a lot of energy drinks in my country but I prefer coffee instead of those because I fear that they might have a negative effect on my health. At least with coffee, it has already been tried and tested by my family for generations.

Well if you're stupid you will drink it all the time like teenagers drink so much energy drink. Well, drinking too much is for stupid. Drinking enough is beneficial for your purpose of drinking. I'm talking about coffee as an energy drink comparing it to other energy drinks.

I don't agree that it is the best. I'm not a coffee drinker and I think caffeine is a bad source of energy. It can be addictive...

Well caffeine is not an energy source. It is a stimulant in your brain which affects your reaction to your surroundings. I'm suggesting it is the best since other drinks have caffeine as well in concentrated form.

Coffee is one of my favourite drinks! I have a low blood pressure and I cant't begin my day without a big cup of coffee. But this has psychological reasons, I know that a good tea can have a better effect. The good teas have antioxidants too and have more benefits than the coffee.

Coffee has roughly four times of the antioxidants found in tea, it decreases the incidence of Parkinson's disease, reduce the risk of colon cancer, Type 2 Diabetes, liver cirrhosis, control asthma and probably more. Wait, I'm discussing energy drinks here not health benefits. So would you agree that coffee is better than other energy drinks?
