thepankajnegi I drink lots of fluids like hot tea, orange juice and have chicken noodle soup to loosen the phlegm in your throat. also take a lot of vitamin c while you are ill. and rest, do not over exert as it makes it all so much worse.If you have a sore throat gargle with hot salt water as it will both heal and stop the painl if its very painful drink ice water as it will numb the pain and the fluid will help you fight the cold too.

What works for me is to jump on my exercise bike and sweat it out. Then a warm shower and wham I feel much better.

I use to go gym but I have no energy at all to do exercise :(

I am fortunate to own a great exercise bike at home. Sorry you are not feeling well, get some tea and rest that would do you some good.
Perhaps you over did it a bit after your last cold. Use vitamin C that is always good to prevent colds.

Okay, I don't care who gets made at me for this, but my professor and I have proven this.
Eats a lot of oranges, drink orange juice, and eat or drink anything with Vitamin C in it. That's right. Vitamin C is your best friend when you have a cold. Vitamin C pretty much boost your immune system and forces whatever is in you out.

i used to have this problem from my childhood.....whenever it used to rain i used to suffer common cold and then fever .....last year i joined gym and since then i have no problem with my health...i got sick only once in one year....i am not regular at gym but it helps me a lot
so exercise is the best way....
and other is breath the steam of water before going to bed at night....
just boil some water...until it excretes steam...then breath in steam till it reaches your throat and chest....
dont add anything like zandu balm to water.....
just use water and cover your head with cloth like towel or bed sheet while breathing so that the steam will be concentrated ....it wont get dilute if you use that....
you can try 1 cup of milk with turmeric powder before going to bed but that milk should be hot not cold.....
i have used these methods so many times first one was told by my doctor and second one is by my granny

Normally if i have a cold i will make decoction i called it "gamotay" or gamot ni tatay which means a medicine made from my father lol... I will boil ginger then i will used the waterthen mix it with lemon and honey then i guarantee you your cold will just disappear.

Hot tea with honey in it. Honey helps boost the immune system and it is a natural antibiotic. To loosen congestion take a hot shower in a closed bathroom and this will steam up the room and help with congestion in the lungs and chest. Chicken is also good for you when you are sick so if you have any chicken you could make a soup with it and this will help as well.
