My oldest daughter, 12 years, is reading to her sister, 8 years. She does this often. I find it so sweet. My 8 year old can read good but loves to be read to.
I just think it's so sweet... it's a sisterly bond!
They are sitting together in the same chair all snuggled up :)
Do your kids do things together?

That is what you call sibling bonding. But perhaps you should join them, too. My daughters and I read together. There was a time when my girls were borrowing the simplified versions of the classics in the library 3 books daily. When my girls get home, we eat, shower, and then go to our respective nooks and read the books. After an hour, we exchange and then read again, another hour, we exchange and read again.
You've got good girls there, MirandaKay.Reading maketh a man.

I do join them sometimes, but I think they need time like this alone sometimes as well. We usually read together every day :)
