Our basketball national team just had a heartbreaking loss in their semifinal match against Lebanon in the on going FIBA Stankovic cup. They loss by a point, 81-80. But I'm still proud of them. They show that we Filipinos, even though we lack the height can still compete with other countries.
I've been reading some comments from other Filipinos that we really shouldn't bother competing on international competitions since we don't have a chance. Personally I hate these posters. I know they have a point but I think its better if we'll just support our national team. Based on their latest performance I think we have what it takes to win in international competition.
What do you think fellow Filipino MyLotters?

I only wish that the attention and support that the basketball gets should be also the same to other sports that we have that has higher chance of winning,.I like the spirit or basketball nation team is showing but it will take a lot of work and a lot of help from imports and fil-ams in order to be nationally competitive, I love basketball but as always I am practical. International basketball competition is very tough, we should not only focus on this sports rather give other sports that we can actually excel on an equal chance. (like soccer)

That is definitely sad. 1 point! Oh well! Charge that to experience on move on, do better in succeeding matches. I'm still not giving up hope. Go Philippines! God speed!
