What is worth having, is worth sacrificing for...

Do you believe it? I think anyone will want to sacrifice if something is worth it. We sacrifice because we want it or we need it and that we know that in the end it's all gonna be worth it.
In the past, I have sacrificed my time concentrating on my studies. A year before my board exam I answer atleast 20 questions a day, and a few months before the board I answer atleast 100 questions a day, wherever I am. And it's all worth it!
What have you sacrificed for?

I have been thinking this morning that all my sacrifice down the years have been a waste. My time money and energy. But what i can say is that the past will never return no matter what you do.

Hi. Why what happened? Is it the course that you took? I know that the past will never return but the lessons learned will always be with us.

This comment was in context to my life.....I dont know what she calls it but i call sacrifice...has gone all waste. She tends to oversee it and blame me for all that has gone wrong. Like the normal human nature...all good happens bcos of me, and blame other for all the wrong things that happen.

I sacrificed getting my bachelor's degree in biology as a traditional student so that I could have a family of my own. There isn't a day in my life that goes by that I don't think that I made the right decision. Granted my family isn't rich or even really well off, but there is no other way that I could imagine my life that would be as fulfilling as being a wife and a mother. We've also sacrificed money so that I can stay at home with our children and that is a great decision in my opinion as well. I love the bonding opportunities that I've been able to share with my children.

Absolutely santos! That was what I was thinking about before I read the rest of your post. A good college education the least is what is worth having and sacrificing for. We shouldn't just stop here if we could.
In fact we should continue to learn everyday because learning shouldn't stop. It's a lifelong affair.

Hi santosmarichris,
Yes, I do believe that we are all willing to sacrifice for something, or someone that we want or love.
What parent would not sacrifice their freedom of an adventurous life-style to raise happy healthy children. The positive outcome for your years of sacrifice is having responsible well adjusted adult children.
Sacrificing, no matter how long, is effortless when it is done with love, and the rewards, most times, are worthwhile.

i firmly believe that if you want something badly enough, you will do whatever you need to try to obtain it. Sacrifice is cost. Some things that we want from life come at a cost. So i guess anything worth having would have to be worth sacrificing.

When coming home from abroad after a 2 year stint working, I never go back because I wanted to guide and tutor my children. For me this is a great sacrifice because I gave up my career.

I've been sacrificing my weekend leisure for law school. I'm taking the weekend classes because I used to work during weekdays. I don't work anymore, but things are almost just the same, because my schedule is different from most of my friends'. Social gatherings, outings, etc. are mostly done during weekends, and I couldn't attend because I have school. I also sacrificed watching my favorite Sunday variety show. I'm now in my 4th year and I don't regret it. I know it's all worth it. I'll be a lawyer soon.

For me i already have a job in Singapore when i went back to the Philippines because i decided to sacrifice my high paid job over my eldest son who is 5 yrs old now. Because he cannot cope up with school anymore no one teaches him anymore unlike when i am with him we study with play and that is how he understand the lesson, My son is worth having that the high paid job in Singapore because i cannot turn back time to bring back his childhood.
