this guy is one of the best superheroes out there
although technically he's not really a superhero... he's just a guy wearing a cape and cowl
he's not as strong as superman
and he can't fly unless he's inside his plane
he can glide though
so let's see
parents were murdered when he was a kid and then he inherited a vast amount of money which he then used to develop technology to beat up criminals with
and then he used his knowledge of psychology and martial arts to come up with the batman persona
he beats up criminals aided with the element of surprise
so there you have it
batman: superhero, vigilante, millionaire, ninja
wish i had millions to be jut like him too

other examples of realistic heroes would be blue beetle and the punisher

Batman can breathe in space. Therefore, he rules. In all seriousness, Batman is such a great character, as he can have a variety of differnet interpretations. He could be zany and a bit campy like the Adam West version or dark and brooding like the Dark Knight. Or anything in between. Batman can be anything that you want to be and its a character that reinvents himself.
Not to mention that he has some of the greatest and most memorable villians in comic books. After all, how good can an hero be without villians? The Joker, the Penguin, The Riddler, R'as Al Ghul, Bane, Poison Ivy, really too many to name. Batman is an American icon. Plus, many of us have no doubt considered dressing up like a giant bat and fighting outlandish characters. If only we had the money. Still, you can almost see someone doing this in real life.

The most realistic hero, as he utilizes his wealth and his skills to develop himself into a vigilante, ready to avenge and put those who defies the law into his own hands. My favorite character, and if I have also that wealth, probably I would try to do what he does.. But not exactly the wearing of outfit, just use my wealth to bring anyone who commits a crime to justice.
