Starcraft 2 wings of Liberty.. what do you think?

I've played SC2 and the story was great.. I can't wait for the next part of the trilogy.. the whole kerrigan will be the savior thing is really cool for the story.. As for the gameplay i give it 4/5.. the coolest thing about the game is the new units and abilities.. for me, it's kinda sad because the game doesn't support LAN.. kinda suck really.. what do you think?

Starcraft 2 deserves a 9/10 score from me! one of my best PC games this year!
I am still playing terrans on campaign though but hey its cool. =) New Units, Building Upgrades with great balance. . . looking forward for LAN support maybe on the next patch. good luck!

yeah coz i have been playing terran now like a half of starcraft 1.. now that's why even the campaign for protoss took only 3-4 missions i think then it's done... thanks, so protoss and zerg campaigns comes as an expansion or whole new installment.. still a nice game anyway. =)

I don't think they would release a LAN version on it.. but if someone who's rich enough to do a private server just like in world of warcraft, i think it would be possible but as of now unlikely.. in wings of liberty you only get to play the terran campaign.. Protoss' and zerg's campaign is in another installment.. i think next yr or so.. I don't really know..

Ahhh.. you mean the one with zeratul's prophecy? it's not really part of the protoss campaign.. it's more of a prologue of what you will expect in the next 2 expansions.. I really hate this because after i read about that SC2 would be a trilogy.. I knew that Diablo 3 would be delayed for another year or so.. i think diablo 3 would be released in 2012.. i really hate it.. can't wait to play as monk warrior.. you should watch the gameplay videos in youtube.. it will really give excite you..

I have not tried the game yet. As I know it is a total renovation of the game, it has a lot new units, buildings,units abilities,new maps and more. Even the graphics improved a lot compared to the first version of the game.
What I am concerned about is the system requirements you have in order to install and run the game. As I could recall, I have installed Starcraft Broodwar on my first computer with the following specs:
Pentium 166Mhz MMX Processor
32MB SDRAM PC100 RAM
Eagle S3/Trio 3D 2x 4MB AGP Video Card
Seagate 4.3GB IDE Hard Disk
Windows 98SE
The game runs perfectly without any lags or problem.
I agree, if the game doesn't support LAN, it becomes less exciting because almost all gamers that waits for this game to be released expects that it WILL indeed support LAN.

I'm not sure about the requirements. But compared to Broodwars the game has really good graphics. I think you need at least 256 on your video card and at least 7gb space of hard disk..
The reason for them to do it is that "with battlenet, gamers can explore a new stage in gaming compared to LAN version.." Right.. that would only mean Buy the original one you morons.. LOL..

One friend of mine also told me that once installed, it consumes a whopping 12GB of hard disk space! Is this really that much it needs to run?

I'm not sure about 12gb of HD but i checked it on my computer and it only says 8.18gb of consumed space.. Well 12gb not bad, if you've played dragon age it's 20-21gb of space.. that includes the DLC's and the expansion pack.. hehehe...

Just a note.. if you're just into singleplayer and not really a battlenet person then just DL it.. but if you're into battlenet and achievements then you should buy it. I heard they will be releasing a new package this fall. You get the game, and some other freebies like a personal dog tag (the same with the ones that the marines use) all in the same price. But for me personally I'll just buy the original game for the last part of the trilogy cause I'm afraid of some compatibility issues in the future..
