I have a niece that has a favorite pillow, she always carries it around, plays with it, throws it, babies it, and occasionally body slams it and stuff hehehe. She can't go to sleep without it and her mother (my sister) had to buy two more of the same kind of pillow just so that she can wash the pillows and my 2 year old niece would not notice that her pillow is gone because when she does, all heck breaks lose and she starts crying. The thing is, only 1 pillow now remains. Can't blame my niece, we came from a family that has their own favorite pillow. I had my favorite pillow till I was 7 years old... I love the smell and feeling of my fav pillow, but, I don't carry it around. Did you or do you still have a favorite pillow?

Hi dnbc!
I know all my kids had each when they were young. And each was the only pillow each of them could sleep on. It was hard to change even the pillow-case without having them awaken at night. And when they did our nights would be spoilt too. Strange some things are. As for each my kids their pillows, one and only, they couldn't do without.

I was like that when I was little... my mom will change the pillow case of my pillow and when I'm asleep... I won't be woken up but when morning comes the pillow case will magically be removed from my pillow. But, in my niece's case, she will wake up immediately when you remove her fave pillow from her side...^_^

Hi dnbc87
Cute story. I am happy to see that your sister is smart enough to get more than one so that the dirty one can be washed. Can you imagine all the germs that is one the dirty one. After your niece finishes her loving and sometimes attacking acts there are billions of germs lurking around.
I didn't have a favorite pilliow, but I did have a favorite softee doll, similiar to the Raggedy Ann doll. I was just as attached to it as your niece is to her pillow.
Many of us, as toddlers and young children, have a special pillow, blanket, doll, or some other toy that we are totally attached to. Fortunately, we eventually can retire our special friends to the garbage, closet, or trunk full of childhood memories. Your niece will, in time, do the same.

Too cute. It made me laugh out loud, and after the day that I have had I needed it.
Thanks.

Haha, you have a cute cousin. For me, I carry my bolster. Sometimes, it just feels cuddly to me. I treat it like an animal. FYI, I'm an only child. So, there is no wonder that I only have a bolster that I treat like a cat LOL!!! This is life. We all have our own behaviour. But then again, I'm surprised that there are people out there who takes their pillows and whatever into regard! That's of some comfort to me haha!

Hehehe for some strange reason... manners, it sometimes runs in the family. My niece also throws a storm when someone takes away her pillow... One time, my sister and I were trowing stuff at each other for fun and I accidentally threw the pillow and my niece started crying and picked up the pillow like a baby doll... It was hilarious and somewhat worrisome. ^_^

I actually have a favorite pillow as well. When I go to sleep I have to sleep on my favorite pillow. For some reason other normal pillows just don't cut it out for me.
I have a one year old sister but she is not obsessed with her pillow....she's obsessed with her blanket. She has to have it with her every where we go. As for washing it we have to do it while she is asleep because then she'll start to throw a fit if she can't find it.

I have never had a favorite pillow. My late husband did though. It was a memory foam pillow. Whenever we traveled or visited relatives, he had to take this pillow with him. He could not sleep without it. he would toss and turn and keep me awake too. My husband is gone now, but i still have his pillow.

I do admit that I am rather particular about the way I sleep. Not only I am particular about the way I sleep, but also what I sleep with. Therefore, all of the time, I have to have my favorite pillows with my. Also blankets too, cannot forget about that. I am a very particular person but I know what makes me comfortable and allows me to sleep through the night.
So, yeah, I sleep with my favorite pillow. I can still sleep without it, sure. However, it does really take me longer to get to bed at the end. That is just life for you. Still, I tend to get into a routine with many things in my life. Therefore, I get into a routine as I sleep. That is just the way that I roll when I sleep. Not going to really change my ways any time soon.
