Making Money Affiliate Marketing

I have toyed around with affiliate marketing for few years now, but I had only half assed it. I would build properties for products, but would fall short when it came to promotion. I recently decided to buckle down and do a project the it is supposed be done and to my slight surprise I started making sales. The project was for a product that I thought had just come out only to find out it had been out for a few years. I thought for sure since I was late for that boat that I wouldn't sell anything, but within a couple of weeks of starting the project I had some sells. My plan is to keep on repeating my process and hopefully make a bunch of money in the process. I know it can be done. Has anyone else had success with affiliate marketing?
