Exactly laglen! Making sure that you get enough calcium can help protect or prolong you from getting it, but you can still get it! My mum's friend drank a TON of milk and ate a TON of milk products and she still ended up getting it!

We are BIG milk drinkers in this house! My daughter, hubby, and I have regular 2% white milk with breakfast, and/or in our cereal. My daughter may also have a glass of 2% white milk with lunch, and at supper time all 3 of us have 2% chocolate milk!

Most definitely! Got to give them as much calcium as we can for their hair, bones, and teeth!

I am a milkaholic. I play football, lift weights, and move heavy stuff at work all day, so I am practically a growing animal. Because of this, I can easily go through 2 gallons in a day. After moving heavy items, I find myself craving milk and could down an entire gallon. My weapon of choice is 2 percent chocolate. It feels good going down since I feel it soothing the muscle pain, and I am told that it is good after a workout (probably not a gallon, but I am a small horse). I love the taste of it and because I drink so much, people refer to it as having a glass. I drink water like this too so I always have a 'glass' of milk and water with me at all times because these muscles take so much fuel. To put my milk addiction to perspective, the cost of filling up a gas tank is less than the amount that I spend on milk alone. So it cost less to fuel my car than my muscles, especially since I add protein powder to the milk. Now, I am bigger stronger, heavier, and more aggressive than before, and no longer own a car since I accidentally ripped the steering column out (i have gotten strong), and damaged it using it as a weight. Maybe milk has done my body too much good. Oh well, I'll keep bulking up then. Thanks milk.

I prefer skim milk. Less fat, and cheaper. I only use it for a little shot in my coffee. When it comes to calcium, I'd rather have yogourt.

it used to be whole milk everyday by the gallon, but, AS I GOT OLDER I HAD TO DROP DOWN TO THE FAT FREE STUFF FOR LACTOSE PROBLEMS, WHICH IS OK ALSO, THAT WAY I CAN EAT MORE OREO'S AND NOT WORRY ABOUT CALORIES AND FAT CONTENT AS MUCH. WHERE THERES A WILL THERES A WAY.

I don't drink a lot of milk.. only on the rare occasions I have a bowl of cereal, or need something to dip cookies in, or sometimes after a slice of cake or some pancakes... but those times are very very rare. I still have to buy 2-3 gallons a week though for the kids. We drink skim.

No, I don't drink milk, but I used to do it as a kid. It's very good for you though, so I hope your daughter keeps it up!

I love to drink milk, but recently had to switch over to lactaid milk instead of the 2% milk. The rest of my family does not drink a lot of milk, only with cereal. I buy 2% milk for them, but sometimes I wind up dumping it out because it goes bad, before they have gotten a chance to drink it all.

I drank a lot of milk when I was younger, and still do kind of. I drink 2% because that's what I grew up on. I've drank other kinds of milk at other times in my life, but I still prefer what I grew up drinking.

I used to drink milk all throughout the day. Now I have it in the morning mixed with my Carnation Instant breakfast and a glass for supper when we are eating at home....or eating out where they serve milk.
We buy 2% milk.

I do not drink milk often. I do have it in cereal and for some reason prefer 2% in cold cereal, but whole milk in hot cereal.
I like whole milk or half and half in my coffee.
And there's nothing better with chocolate cake or even peanut butter and jelly than a nice glass of cold whole milk!

I actually really love milk. Thank goodness for cows. I drink milk very often. I can't go a day without milk and I really don't know why I like it so much. I usually drink the 2% but that's because that's the kind my parents buy.

My husband and I both enjoy drinking milk. We prefer 1% milk. It is lighter tasting than 2% and whole milk and does not have no taste like skim milk. It is also better for you than 2% and whole milk. We used to buy 2% until I started working in a group home and they only ever purchased 1% milk. Since I tried it and hubby tried it, we prefer the taste over any other kind of cow's milk. From time to time, we do like to drink soy milk because of its sweet flavor. He likes chocolate soy milk and I like vanilla soy milk.
