I need a vacation!

I'm stressed out with work but I don't have the luxury of going on a vacation. It's a pain to go to work just because you have to (with all the financial obligations you need to attend to). I hope to be debt-free at the end of the year. With that I might be able even to imagine a vacation next year (If I have savings that is).

I have friends who have these - vacation and debt-free life - in their wish list, too. The purpose of a vacation would defeat itself if at the end you have to worry about finances again. But we still can get a vacation by staying at home and doing things we wanted to do but did not have the time to do it. Or stay at home just to laze around. With all the work we have to face monday to friday or even saturday, doing nothing could be a leisure. I sometimes ask for a day off or two days and stay at home doing nothing and blocking off worries. I find it a luxury.

I guess I'm lucky, I just went to a vacation, though it was in the weekend so I didn't miss work. My friends and I looked for a cheap place to go swimming. I'm still kinda sleepy cause I wasn't able to catch up with mys sleep since the vacation. I'm not earning big, I'm just a new hire, but I don't have any debts (not yet). if you let me, my advice would be to change your outlook in working. Don't think of it as something you have to do just because you need to. Think of all the fun/benefits you get from work. This will help the days pass quickly and more enjoyable :)

just save few for your vacation. you are entitled to have a break once in a while. and give sometime to yourself so you'll be more productive.

I know what you mean! I had a vacation this year but it was only for 4 days, so it was way too short. But I am hoping I can take a longer one next year as well. Good luck with your goal of being debt-free! It's very admirable and I hope you can do it!
