I generally read inspirational and motivational books and stories to motivate myself..In order for dreams and desires to inspire you to action, and achievement...they need to be big... If you don't get excited about what you have planned for the future.. you will never find the inspiration you need to change your life....Powerful dreams can move the soul and when you dream the big dream..you will be driven to make the compelling picture a tangible reality.

that is a good question! I usually motivate myself by physical exercises and spiritual absorb.for example,long-distance running not only can strenghten body resistance ,but also can be thinking about questions that you have met or you suddenly meet in the running time.for example ,many questions that I usually meet are solved in the running time ,and I can persist in do things for a few days without interruption.Besides reading the motivation books are a must I think .that are my experiences above all.

I think i will first set up a goal which is very meaningful and significant for my life ,and then design a plan to achieve it.Only when you have a goal ,you can motivate yourself .you can do nothing without a goal and just continue to waste your time.
and also , you should always encourage yourself to do things which you think is very important to your life , or just as you said, read some motivational books, to build up and reinfore your self-confidence.
Finally , you shold always go outside to take a look of the whole world ,to learn what life really is and as you know how wonderful and colourful life is , you will motivate yourself to work hard to obtain a wonderful life that you wish.

I motivate myself by staying positive. I always make it a point to find the positive in every situation no matter how distressing it could be. My best motivation is the word of God. I always make it a point to meditate on God's word which never fail to comfort me.

Usually, I am inspired by other things and people. That helps with my motivation. But eventually, I hope I will be able to motivate myself.

Man is a rational animal. It is only the thinking mind that makes difference between human beings and animals. If a human being does not think his life is equal to that of an animal. A human being whether male or female can think and decide what is good and what is bad. This is mental process that goes on day in and day out throughout the span of life. Therefore mind plays very a important role in the lives of all.As rightly put by the wise people when the mind changes the world changes. Here comes into play the question of motivation. What is motivation is difficult to define. The next question is motivation for doing or doing bad crops up for discussion. The motivation for doing bad things need not necessarily be taught. For many it comes from birth or the environment in which one is brought. The most important thing not only to the individual as such but for the society as a whole is the motivation to do good to themselves and to the society. In this process the parents at home and teachers at school and colleges play a very important role. As an infant the child gets motivation from parents say the parents are religious and hard working naturally gradually becomes religious and hardworking. As the child grows to be a boy or a girl and starts attending school and college the motivation comes from teachers.Of course as elders good books and moving in the company of the upright one can get motivation. I am happy to take part in such discussions

I will think of my past successes like how I did in the GCE Cambridge O levels, things like that. Every little small achievement that I've achieved last time I'll make a point to recap and make sure to review the condition I was in at that time. Most importantly, think positively and dare to dream big.

It really depends on what I am motivating myself for. There are many things that I need to motivate myself for that I would rather not do. Things that I dread. However, the best way to motivate myself for these things is the fact that the sooner I get them done, the sooner that I do not have to deal with them any longer. That is something that gives me a lot of motivation and a lot of dedication.
I try and set smaller milestones for other things. Checkpoints of success towards a final, larger success. That tends to work out rather well in motivating me. There are some days where it does feel hopeless but I cannot dwell on it. I have got to find ways to continue to press on. There is really a lot that I can accomplish if I can continue to push myself beyond the limits that I thought I had and that motivates me.

Well I motivate myself very often as I do my best when I am motivated.
And the best way to motivate myself, is that I talk to myself, in front of a mirror.
I challenge myself,I make promises to myself, encourage myself and make myself realize what my potentials are. And its really amazing that it helps me a lot.
Also I read inspirational quotes and books that also motivate me alot.

I definitely agree with this statement. You need to dream big and if you truly believe you can do things you become that much more motivated to becoming successful. The problem is, however, that you need to be realistic with your goals. For example you know that you have awful vision, yet you still want to be an air force pilot, well the simple fact is you cannot. You need to make your goals realistic so that when you finally achieve them you are happy and can set new goals. If you set goals that are too unrealistic then you will soon lose that motivation you started out with.

Yea I too read many inspirational and motivational books and find them to be very helpful when it comes to hope.
Although I do have to say that past experiences keep me striving for a better future and well hope motivates me for a brighter future.

A lot of times I'm internally motivated. I like to do things on my own. Some times I'll hear good quotes or things that keep me going, or when I've moved past that rock in the road, I know that I can keep going.

When I suffer from depression sometime, I will make a contrast with the successful man surround me, ask some questions towards myself, such like: what makes me failed? why I cannot reach my goal? How can I do as good as him/her?... all of this will make a good motivation for me.

I am getting my motivation from my errors. The lessons are my errors. There was a time I used to depend on writings, readings and stories and biographies etc. It made no result.
Own experience and self thinking is the only one way where I got motivated.
The true desire and error free thinking with limited resources. Hard work along with openness helped me to where I am now.
Whatever is equipped with you, the way you forming the shape the decisive factor. So arrange the things the required form will make a decent and genuine creation. That creation will be the motivation to the effort. Stainless efforts are due to the pure motivation and the pure motivation comes from the beautiful will.
Regards,
Thank-s
