Is it true that Love birds will die if their partner will lose them?

I have a pair of lovebirds at house. Every time i look at them i can feel love between the two love birds.One day the male love bird was died for unknown reason. As day passes by the female lovebirds seem to be alone. I buy a male lovebird but the female lovebird kept on fighting the male bird.Then i remove again the male bird. One day morning i saw the female bird hanging herself.
