I've been a fan of action stars since I was a child. And the movie Expendables have lots of them! Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lungdren, Jet Li, Jason Statham, etc. This movie I think is oozing in Testosterone. 
I'm planning to watch this movie this weekend but first I want to hear some insights to those that already seen this movie. Is it worth my money to watch this movie in big screen? Of course I'm also in the story and not just stupid brawling and gun fighting. Kindly share your comments but please no spoilers.

I also want to see this mainly because of all the stars in this movie. But Ive heard a lot of negative reviews which has kind of drawn me away from wanting to see it. I figured it woudnt be as good when i first saw it and mainly the reason to see it was because of the big name stars. But I didnt think it would get as bad as reviews as it has. I have not heard really any good reviews for it.

I've worked alongside movie reviewers before, and I must say that they're usually not into anything "action." They like foreign films, romance, 3 hours of nonstop storytelling with no climax, feel-good sagas, and kiddie flicks adapted from second-rate novels that happen to explode in popularity.
I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe it runs in a cycle. They feel their peers will feel the same, and being the odd one out of any circle isn't a good feeling.
Obviously, the average Joe and Jane Q movie audience isn't so prissy. The Expendables opened #1 and will probably kick butt for a solid two months.

Jet Li rocks. 
Fearless was the best martial arts movie I've ever watched, and even his movies with guys like DMX were awesome. And Lethal Weapon 4 was the best of the series because of Li!
And holy crud.. The Expendables also has Rocky! 
It can't get any better than that.

Wow! I really want to see the movie! I liked all the action stars in that film! I bet it'll be a blockbuster! I haven't seen it though, but I sure won't miss it. Sorry if I can't contribute to your discussion yet. I just want to share my enthusiasm about the movie. Hehe.
